Well i went ahead and contacted my Congressman Wolf and had a representative call me and I told her i wanted to them to contact on my behalf and have them check to see what was going with my case. That was last week, and i was sent a letter that stated my case was going to adjudicated and is in queue for adjudication and if an interview is needed they will contact me i guess. I cannot wait praying that it does get adjudicated soon. i need an answer soon cause the wait is too long but God willing an answer will be given soon. Hope everyone gets the answers they are looking for because it is really frustrating not being able to see your loved one. But it has made in stronger in bond. Also the representative that i spoke too asked if they were any reason to get it to a service request and she said beside love because the USCIS don't care about that it is a on shame lol.

sorry you are in this situation.. not really sure why you hired a lawyer .. they can not do anything to help speed up the process. have you contacted any directors? congressman or representative? there are much better routes than throwing your money away with a lawyer... if they told you they can get your case approved faster, they lied

Its not that they told me they can get it approved faster, its the fact that I had them review my paperwork and they found some discrepancies. Besides, its something to do in an attempt to get my wife here. I'm not sure why u automatically assume that paying for a lawyer is throwing money away, maybe u have had a bad experience im not sure, but I tried it on my own, im in almost ten months and they haven't given me my local interview, definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over so im trying something new. All congressman and representatives can do is to do exactly what the cis ombudsman is doing which is trying to get uscis to give a reason for the delay. that hasn't worked for me yet so the lawyer is the next route. I have nothing to lose, its just money, and if it CAN get my wife here...then it will be money well spent...if not then it was worth a try...

I haven't tried contacting Congressman as of yet, I tried the CIS ombudsman to check on the uscis and how they were handling my case, they closed my case with them since I mentioned local interview. they analyst assumed that I already had one. I had to call them back and tell them I didn't so now they are looking into it, and I hired a lawyer which some think is pointless, but I don't know where else to turn...im reaching 10 months in 2 weeks. the lawyer did manage to find some discrepancies in my paperwork so hopefully that will resolve things after we supplement with some changes.

I can definitely sympathize. I have reached 8 months coming on 10 months in a couple weeks. I have reached out to the CIS Ombudsman and they are reviewing my case but it doesn't look promising. It seems that the USCIS is holding on to my case, doing nothing, then will deny me. I have since enlisted the help of a lawyer to attempt to fix things so I advise you do the same if at all possible. Hard to believe that this is happening to me for no good reason known or made known to me...just celebrated my 1 year anniversary by visiting my wife's country and having to leave her yet again...very hard indeed....

10 months....that's long time. I don't know if anyone is getting approved from Washington office ? Are they really working on any of the I130 at all? No one on VJ has got their approval from DC office this year.

hehe yes it is and I have no idea what is going on...I haven't gotten any request for evidence this whole time so I don't feel they have any valid reasons for holding me up...but yeah...

I have a feeling our files haven't been touched yet. If it was touched, they wouldn't take so much time to approve.
