Hello! My Hubby has been gone almost a year now. Our waiver was accepted 2 months ago. I am so anxious because a month after he left our daughter was born! It would be great if he could be here for her first birthday! Is the processing times listed on the USCIS website accurate? Our application was sent to Vermont. My lawyer said they should not request additional information to show hardship because it was obvious.... Any thoughts or experiences???

Hello,

My husband applied for I-601A provisional waiver, it was approved within 2 months. We departed to Honduras on 8/9/15. He had his interview on 8/11/15 and he was told he needed to fill out the I-601 waiver due to a drug conviction in 2010. He was caught with a joint of marijuana.

I have a question for anyone that have had experience in this situation. Since his I-601A waiver was approved, will the I-601 waiver be approved quickly? I know I'm getting my hopes high, but pretty much the waiver are very similar. My lawyer told me that he will submitting the same documents he submitted previously. We did submit a copy of court records that he had completed everything required by the court.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regular I 601 is different than I601A @ Chino...start your own thread

why is your atty filing to I601 & I601A you said is approved.

OP what are you waiving, waivers really are about hardships, then there is

background checks that can slow a process or casefile assigned to a slow

adjudicator...cases seem similar but no two cases are the exact same, at

6 mths you or atty can put in e-request
