Hello. My wife has her consular interview scheduled and if everything goes to plan she will be coming to the US with me in June of this year. She is 26 and has a Bachelor's in finance and a Master's in Project Management. She has experience working in finance and accounting for Marriot Hotels and Dole Fruit Intl. (2 large US companies). She is Costa Rican and attended a foreign branch of a US-based university (Laureate International Universities).

My question is how difficult do you think it will be for her to find employment as a skilled worker in accounting and finance and should we pay to have her Costa Rican degrees evaluated (not to study, only for employment.) Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Personally I feel job knowledge and her presentation will get her hired in her field if there's job availabilities, degrees are icing on the cake

on the job it will be her performance, knowledge & getting along great with others that will allow her promotions since she have degrees, I

have worked in HR and many times degreed ppl don't pass muster...so don't worry , but if you think its important to do eval. you can, Good luck

I also agree that she looks good to get something in those companies here and others but I always say never put all your eggs in one basket. It is a nice idea to have her credentials with an evaluation company just in case it is needed.

There various kinds depending on what you are looking for and you would want to go with a company that is well accepted by a wider range of institutions, employers etc.Below is a list of eval companies.
