I honestly did not know that CSC was tasked since summer/2012 with this extra workload. I thought this Dream Act guidelines was still in the works. I guess not. Has CSC been tasked with all these applicants...Vermont sure seems to be able to process K1 app's weekly....maybe the 821D forms should be spread to other service centers to help spread the wealth around. It sure seems CSC is over tasked right now badly....10K apps each month normally,....to 25K each month...WOW!!!!

It's not the REAL Dream Act, but rather a temporary fix - a renewable promise to not deport and an EAD until a real fix is come up with, basically. That's the problem. CSC wasn't tasked with all by any means, but as California had the largest population applying for the benefit, it seems to have been affected the most. CSC did send the DACA apps to another center to balance the load, but it seems to only now, about 3 weeks later, be bearing any fruit, and there is a lot of catch-up to be done.

Also, this is the internet. Scolding, slighting, and attacking comes with the territory.

This I agree with. lol and no offense taken. And yes, it IS frustrating that there is nothing a small group like us can do. We are too small and transitory a group of people to make any lasting push for change. People eventually get approved and stop caring. Sadly, the petitions will do little too (there was a petition to build a death star that got enough signatures too as I recall), though I agree at least trying to make a noise they will hear is SOMETHING at least.

Well I'm trying to do something to make some noise at least it could get the word out to people outside of this forum.

The data is from January. How can you even go off this data and say they will be caught up? It does not show how many applications for the last 4 months have been sent in, or if theres a influx.

J&G

Only 2 months are actually missing, February and March. Even if they do get an ton of new I-485 applications, I doubt they would continue to process new stuff and continue to let other things fall behind. They have been knocking out about 3000 a month for 6 months, and in January they were about 10k above average...so I estimated about 3 months to get caught up...2 of which already passed. If they decide not to continue working 3000 a month, then that means they are switching to something else that is behind, perhaps 129F. Sounds like a win either way.

And the President said in his speech that approving the illegals would come after the legal filings were approved.

HAHA!!! That was the greatest joke of all time!

I should've applied in November. Why why why? This isn't fair. I am so happy for them, but I pity my fiancé and I. Feeling out our future in the dark is unbearable.

That's really no more or less honest than anything else I've heard. Sure they SAY they are working on July and since October is 3 months later, then that would mean logically you'd have a 3 months wait, but then you look at yesterday and see that 5 cases from VJers were approved and 4 of those 5 were from November/Decemeber.

I don't believe anyone on the phone has any actual facts to give us. I think they have a list of answers to give to fit within the information that is provided publically on the website and nothing more. These call centers, seem more about appeasing people's worries and getting them to wait longer than to actually give us any additional information.

I do hope they get your approval sooner rather than later. It's ridiculous all the people waiting since July for their approvals.

If you think that july is a long wait you should look and my timeline, I had no issues with my petition and it took CSC over 400 days to approve my petition just over a week ago. It truely is painful to wait especially when everyone here that filed at the same time as me has been married already while i am going over 18 months away from my fiance. There is no justice in the process only blind luck.

WOW, that's just completely messed up. I am sorry it took so long for you. I'm sure you fully understand what those here from July are going through. It may be a lot less than your wait was, but finally you can at least move forward. I do hope they treat you much better in this next part of y our journey and you can be reunited with your loved one very soon

Well, Well, Well!!! It has taken some time, and three phone calls to CSC. But, I finally got a agent that was willing to help me understand the extended processing times NOW for K1 Visa applications. I was informed that in the past,...CSC would process about 10K applications each month. This was a average of cource. Today, they are processing a average of 25K applications each month now. This increase is due to the current need/desire to make Illegial Immigrants, Legal citizens of the USA. I was informed that CSC is now currently as of 9 April working cases with a NOA1 date of July/2012. I have a NOA1 date of Oct/2012, I was informed to expect a wait of up to 3 months before my case would be worked((( Lovely,...just Lovely!!! I am not pleased with the information that I recieved today, but at least I have a much better understanding of what is causeing the much slower K1 Visa processing times, compared to months past of 2011/2012. May God help us in some way and show us much needed mercy!!

Why do you believe this is honest?

OP, what makes you think what he/she told you was "honest"? because that is what you wanted to hear?

I have no reason to suspect it is anywhere close to the truth.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!
