I know in Maryland we had to wait 6 weeks for them to manually verify my wife's EAD. I had to call my State Senator to get them to finally issue her DL. What good is an EAD card if they have to write to USCIS to verify it???

I believe they say to allow 2 weeks for the system to update with your new status. At least that's what our DMV said when we went in with the naturalization certificate. It was 9 days and they did find it. If social security found it in SAVE, then your status was updated by USCIS so maybe get DMV to check again or ask if a supervisor can explain.

if you just got the EAD, SAVE system not updated yet - the update is batched.

30 days seems about right, but it could be sooner, so burn some joss.
