Hello all. I have a quick question and thought this forum would be the best place to ask. I am currently in the process of AOS from a K-1. My conditional Green Card should be approved shortly (I hope!). I was wondering about the lead time on an approved 10 year Green Card. Reason I ask: is there a chance my 2 year card will expire before my 10 year is approved? If so, I'm thinking this must cause issues with employers. Would you end up working without a valid GC?

Sorry for the lame question. Just trying to get this process lined up in my head. I noticed that people are waiting almost a year for ROC...

You can't submit your application for ROC until you are in the 90 days period before the 2 year anniversary of your Green Card. When you do submit your ROC application, your receipt letter will also act as a one year extension to your Green Card.

01/27/2011 - Trevor's N400 submitted
02/18/2011 - Married
04/02/2011 - NOA1 hard copy received - priority date 03/30/2011
07/08/2011 - Trevor is now a USC - called USCIS to request upgrade of the petition.
08/02/2011 - NOA2
09/08/2011 - LND case number received, medical booked
09/26/2011 - Case complete at NVC
09/30/2011 - Interview date assigned
11/08/2011 - Interview - approved!!
11/10/2011 - Visa in hand
12/04/2011 - POE in Atlanta
12/12/2011 - SSN number received in mail
12/12/2011 - Welcome notice received
01/06/2012 - Green card received
09/06/2013 - File for Removal of Conditions
10/01/2013 - Biometrics for ROC
02/03/2014 - Card production email received

02/17/2014 - 2nd card production email received

02/28/2014 - 10 year Green card received

USCIS calculator to help: Filing Date Calculator When you apply they will send you an extension letter to go along with your expired green card.Most likely you DL will expire on the new date of the letter.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
