DS-156 questions

Hello everyone,

Good day to you all.Pls. help me with the following questions on DS-156, I am somewhat confused.

1.Place of issue of passport:Manila

Country:Phils.

Province:? (IS IT METRO MANILA)

2.How long do you intend to stay in the US? Would INDEFINITE be an ok answer?

3.Do you intend to work in the US.I would say Yes,however I have no employer info yet since I have to first look for a job later, probably after a few months.

4.Have you ever been refused a US visa? I was denied twice one for (tourist), and the second one (working visa)

Is being denied the same with being refused?

Pls. help.Your replies will be very much appreciated.Thank you much.

I put MANILA and leave the province blank

2.How long do you intend to stay in the US? Would INDEFINITE be an ok answer?

PERMANENTLY. will apply permanent residence following marriage

3.Do you intend to work in the US.I would say Yes,however I have no employer info yet since I have to first look for a job later, probably after a few months.

Fiance applicant. Will apply for work authorization. Employer unknown.

4.Have you ever been refused a US visa? I was denied twice one for (tourist), and the second one (working visa)

Is being denied the same with being refused?

1. We put Manila for Province

2. K-1 visa

3. Just say NO for now it doesn't matter.

4. For you YES, never lie. Then list the tourist and work visa info they ask for.

1. Province = METRO MANILAA. Manila is not a province but a city. (ie Manila, Metro Manila)

put what you like, I simply stated what was put on the form for my wife

It did not state Manila, Metro Manila but simply Manila, Philippines. Do not add what don't exist on the passport

the reason why there is a box for "province" there is because there are DFA's in the provinces that issues passports like Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Davao and many more.
