We are now preparing the AOS packet but my husband has not filed his 2012 Income Tax and has started to do it just today with the help of an accountant. How long does it take before he could obtain his 2012 Tax Return Transcript? Is it okay to just send his 2011 Income Tax Transcript?

transcript for tax 2012 will not be available soon. but you could able to use his income tax return copy for 2012. that's exactly what we did...also, you need to provide the last 3yrs of his income tax return(transcript for year 2011 and 2010, then income tax return copy for 2012).

goodluck!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

if you're thinking to submit I-864 soon, why not submit complete copy of the tax stuff, instead of the tax transcript?

There's an accountant involved, accountants make copies, la.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes, a copy of the entire tax return and a copy of the w2 and a copy of any other tax stuff that goes with the tax return.
