I am US citizen serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon and I am in the process of getting the documents ready to file the I-130 petition for my spouse who is a citizen of Cameroon. I read that all the forms must be the original forms, except for supporting evidence. However, I am sending the petition from Cameroon and I will need my co-sponsor to file out the I-864 form, sign and scan it and resend it by email. Is this okay or will I need the original forms? Also, how many affidavits of support do I need to submit for supporting evidence? Do I need to make a copy of all the pages of my Peace Corps passport or my orginal passport? Which lockbox should I mail the petition to if I am currently residing outside of the US but will be moving back in 3 months? Thanks in advance for your help!

I-864 you will not need for months. Thats processing at NVC when you do the Immigration Visa part.

Go to the guides at top of this page to read up on the UI-130 so you have all the information you need to file.

If you are using the Passport to show you are a US citizen its copies of the entire passport.

The lockbox filing from abroad is Chicago for you.

What do you mean how many affidavits of support you send? that form is I-864 and that is none.

if you are talking how many affidavits in support of your relationship thats up to you. People that can attest to the bona fide of your relationship (usually 2 to 4).

makes sure you submit pictures, IM.s emails anything showing you are in ongoing relations. I suggest pictures all scanned and just printed on 8 X 11. 1, 2 to 4 on page with who is in picture and a caption of what they are looking at.

Dwheels gave you most of your answers. I just want to add one more thing.

For the I-864 form, although not needed until NVC, you cannot have a scanned version of the signature page, the signature must be original (even for the joint sponsor). My suggestion is instead of having your joint sponsor email the I-864 form, it would probably be a better option for them to fill it out and send it to you by mail.
