Having good credit helps you buy a house or a car or get an apartment. Having a joint credit card is good proof of co-mingling your finances and they look for this in your papers.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Establishing credit together as a couple is more than not having money to pay for stuff. Since your credit, and your credit score is important in the US, it is not taken lightly that you are planning on sharing credit accounts. This is something that couples do, they co-mingle their finances, which includes credit. When you eventually get to the interview or ROC phase, this is evidence that they look at, because you will trust your spouse with your credit accounts.
