Was wondering what the infopass appointment is used for. Will they just give some general info or can they actually update you on your case and see whats going on?

Others may have different information but I can relate my 2 experiences with infopass. In both cases the information I received was very similar to calling USCIS and speaking with a tier 2 person. Also as with phone calls it is random as to the type of person you will be talking to. My first infopass experience was with a very pleasant woman who seemed to be interested in trying to help me get usable information, but the second time was with a person who seemed she would rather not be there and was very near being rude to my questions. But in retrospect for me both visits were pretty much a waste of time. They can look at your case number on their computer screen and spit out the same BS information that you get when you go to the USCIS website and possibly give you a bit more information but nothing they told me was really usable. After the second visit I had a personal talk with myself and decided I wouldn't waste my time again on an infopass. If you go and have a better experience please let me know. Good luck.
