Hi everyone...

I'm so glad to be a member of VJ, at least i know i'm not the only one waiting. Me and fiance are both stressed about the long wait, he forward the visa application to Vermnt in January 14 2013 and he got the receipt after 2 days. He again received an email that the application has been approved, by reading the comments here in the forum, i think that is the NOA2 if im not mistaken... After that , it's been 3 months and we haven't heared anything , my fiance tried to call NVC and the operator said that there is nothing he could do but wait.... We are so stressed about it, we dont have any idea if until when is the wait, our son is 6 months old now and we are hoping to be all together before his first birthday... Such a long wait.... But we are optimistic and my fiance keep telling me, as everyday passes it brings us to be closer together..... So this wait, really needs patience :-)

Does anyone has an idea how long will it take to receive A news about it? Or do u think its not impossible that we get there before our sons forst birthday?

I hope to hear from u guys.

Hi, no one ever really knows how long it will take to get your NOA2, but typically it takes anywhere from 6-9 months, sometimes sooner and unfortunately sometimes later. I would think that you should be together right around your child's first birthday. I hope it happens for you guys. Please keep the faith.

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.

I think you have just received the NOA1 and not the NOA2. Did the letter or notice say approved or accepted? When did he originally send in the application? Did he or the Dallas lockbox facility forward the petition?

That is the estimated date for the initial approval of your petition i.e. the NOA2. After that there is further paperwork, a medical and an interview to get through. Check out the flowchart here and see from your country's sub-forum how quickly things move when your petition gets to your country.

Things tend to move quicker once you have the NOA2 - well, relative to how they move before you get the NOA2 (says she, having waited over 8 months and still no NOA2).

Hi. I am still waiting, as I mentioned in my original post - as are a lot of people from July 2012 - check the topics in this K1 sub-forum where July Filers is in the topic title:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/128-k-1-fiancee-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

I really don't wish to depress, you and it may be that you have received your NOA2 extraordinarily quickly, but you may have to realize that you have to play the waiting game.

Have you checked your status on the USCIS website to see if your petition was approved?

Hello Jeffrey S.

Yes, it was approved, they notified my fiance too thru txt and email.

Normally it goes to NVC very quickly and then to the embassy within a couple of weeks from what I have seen. I would be vigorously tracking it to see where it is. They should at least be able tell you if it has ben sent to the NVC yet.
