Hello i just confused about how to get the INVOICE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER in NVC? Do we need to call them and asked the INVOICE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER before we going to send the DS-3032 CHOICE OF AGENT? thank you and god bless!!

An experienced visa journey person told me that you can ask the NVC rep for that number when you inquire about your case number. So there are actually two numbers to get in order to pay for the fees. I haven't gotten to that point so I will check first thing Monday to see if they finally inputted my case number. It's been actually 1 calendar month now since the NOA2. We got so excited that we got the NOA2 and it's like back to the same waiting game.

You can either call them and ask for it, or wait a few days to receive the email that contains the case numbers (if you gave over both email addresses, otherwise it'll be a few weeks waiting for the postal mail).

The DS-3032 doesn't have anything to do with logging into the payment portal (the purpose of the IIN). So, as long as you have your case number, you can send the DS-3032.

I highly suggest you click on the last 2 links in my signature and do some reading!

The best approach is to call the NVC and find out if your case has already arrived in their facility. If so, you can then ask for the Invoice Identification Number and the NVC Case number. These numbers will allow you to pay for the AOS fee ($88 per case).

USCIS: I-130 Petition (FATHER)

- 10/10/12: I-130 Package sent via USPS Express

- 10/11/12: I-130 Package delivered

- 10/16/12: Recv'd email (NOA1 mailed & File routed to NBC)

- 10/23/12: NOA2 recv'd.

- 12/12/12: Called CSC. Per ISO, File transfered to USCIS Local Office on Nov 28th.

- 02/07/13: RFE mailed, but I did not receive it. Didnt know until I received the NOID.

- 03/28/13: NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) recv'd.

- 04/02/13: Made appointment via Infopass to respond to NOID. Spoke with IO and handed her copy of my birth certs.

- 04/03/13: APPROVED (NOA2 mailed).

NVC Processing:

- 04/12/13: NVC Recv'd file from NBC

- 04/xx/13: NVC Case no & IIN assigned.

Thanks for great links and posting. I will definitely do a lot more reading in the next few days because we just got my case number and the IIN number this evening! We are sooooo ecstatic!

Not need IIN for DS-3032.

Need Consular Casefile Number for the DS-3032 , though.

For either of these? Use a Telephone, call in, inquire.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
