Hi everyone.

NVC just acknowledged the receipt of the docs for my case (F2A) and not yet entered in their system.

I am reviewing the guidelines for the NVC process but lost with the introduction of online forms.

So basically next week I will call NVC and ask if there is already an NVC receipt number and give them the petitioner and beneficiary's email addresses. Is this correct?

Do I still need to ask for Invoice Identification Number (IIN)?

When is the time to fill-up the online forms?

I apologize if this was already asked but got buried in this thread.

Thanks.

Hello Ekim, please may I know if you got the receipt acknowledgement by email or regular mail. Also, when was your NOA2 approved at USCIS. Thanks.

NOA2 approval date is August 12, 2013. I kept on calling NVC 1 week from the receipt of NOA2. I called every other day then later every day until I found out that they acknowledged the receipt of the docs on September 18, 2013. That is more than a month from NOA2 approval date. No email or snail mail receipt yet from NVC. I found out that early morning after 7:30AM EST (their lines open at 7:30AM) is the best time to call.

I think the checklist is for the IV (DS230) package that she sent.

This is the second checklist I receive. The first one was related to the AOS. This one is for the IV. I've sent both DS-230 and DS-260.

Below you can find the text of the checklist:

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

Please submit a completed copy of form Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration -Biographic Data (DS-230/DS-260) for this applicant. In reviewing the form that you submitted, we note that the section pertaining to applicant residences from the age of 16 is either blank or incomplete. The applicant must list all places lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16. There must not be any gaps greater than six months. You will need to complete and submit a new form with the changes. Your visa application cannot be processed until this form is complete.

A gap exists in your residence history of more than six months. When completing the information in this section, please refer to the following instructions below on Police Certificate(s):

· Police certificates are required for each visa applicant aged 16 years or older, based on where each applicant lives or has lived previously.

· Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided more than 12 months. Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.

· Generally, applications for police certificates should be made directly to the police authorities in the district in which you resided. The police certificate must:

1. Cover the entire period of the applicant's residence in that area, and

2. State what the appropriate police authorities records show concerning each applicant, including all arrests, the reason for the arrest(s), and the disposition of each case of which there is a record.

· If you have any questions about where or how to apply for police certificates in other countries, you may communicate directly with the U.S. consular office processing your visa applications.

· NOTE: Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable. Detailed information is available from the NVC or the nearest United States immigrant visa processing post.

To download a form or update the online form submitted, please visit www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864). Please return

the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.

Hi Beatka ... what good to see you on the forum ... I think you must to wait for an email from the NVC with the invoice fee of AOS to access the website of CEAC.

But really I'm not sure. I think today or Monday, you'll receive that e-mail. rolleyes.gif

It doesn't change when you send forms. I was thinking it is suppose to change to "ready" when case is complete, but it didn't change for me and for some other Vj members. So I believe it will only change status when your case is sent to your Embassy.

I think it will change after you have received your I/L because that's the time they will send your case file to your embassy/consulate.
