If the priority in VB is still current during your interview and you got approved, you are good to go. However, if it's no longer current during your interview, the visa will not be given to you even you're approved until your priority becomes current again. But it is really up to the immigration officer.

Have you heard this from any lawyer or did you read it on NVC or USCIS website ? I concern about this because let say if the interview is scheduled and the priority date rolls back and it doesn' meet the criteria so are you saying that consulate will hold the passport until it meets the criteria even though it could be 3-4 months.

if anyone else has any idea about this then feel free to reply.

This might be the case. I'm anxious to see this next release of BV (around mid September). Let's stay positive! What's your priority date anyway? Ours is August 28, 2012.

Don't forget to send copy of both front and back of green cards.
