Yes my friend - you are correct in both - what is your Priority Date btw?

According to a very prominent analysis of the new Visa Bulletin - in October F2A category will retrogress back to between Sept 2012 and Oct 2012 - I hope his analysis is accurate, his others have been mostly accurate till now.

My priority date is feb 2013. But I had waited 4 years to get that..long story.

But my question is you said people in pakistan have to go through AP.

My spouse is from Pakistan but now working in dubai. So, I talked to NVC already and they said the address needs to be updated and they will schedule an interview in dubai.....I am guessing that would save me time as there must be back log in Pakistan...then again I am thinking the address change might delay my case...l

As long as the date they have there is after your Priority date (which is June 2011) then you don't need to worry. Right now for month of August it is current means - it is August 2013.

In September it will be September 2013 also. But in October they might move it back. If they move it to any date after June 2011, like lets say September 2011 or 2012, you don't need to be worried b/c you are already before that date and your case won't get delayed. If the date is before June 2011 then your case will get delayed until the date moves past June 2011.

I am hoping to complete everything by end of October...so that I don't get retrogress but doesn't look possible if I am not going to get a case number assigned :'(

Well to be honest with you, not sure if they will interview in Dubai or in Islamabad - whereever they do I think the risk of getting into AP is still there because afterall a Pakistani is a Pakistani to them esp after the events taking place in Pakistan.

I think you have to take it slowly, just follow their instructions, I don't think with a Feb 2013 PD you can make more progress by speeding things up, b/c the October PD will prob be late 2011 or early 2012.. So you have to have some patience and just do it per instructions.

Great I got the Checklist for the AOS - they marked me for doing something that they say I didn't do but that I clearly did.

in the same situation despite that I sent AOS packet and iv packet a month ago, they wrote me in response to message of inquiry regarding my case update :

We received the Affidavit of Support Processing Fee payment(s) for this

What happened is the following. I did not make any income in 2012, therefore I sent them a letter explaining that I did not make any income therefore I did not file a Federal income tax return for 2012. This is what the instructions say to do. When I called them they were like yea you are right but we can't do anything about it now, just resend us that letter again and it will take another 20 working days to process. This is what pisses me off.

Now it happens that after I had submitted my AOS, I also submitted my tax return of $0.00 just for this day anticipating that they will make a big deal out of nothing. So I am going to send it to them tomorrow. I just am pissed off that they are going to take another 20 working days just to see my Tax Return transcript of 2012 which says that I earned $0.00

I am on the same boat. No income in 2012 bu i got w 2 from my previous employee which had wages and tips for $20 .56thats why i didnt file tax returns coz there us no income i dont know what to do. I am thinking of sending the copu of my w2 iyh an explanation that i had no income coz i was international graduaye student that time and was not allowed to work.

But strange situation is i have w2 for $20.56 and taxwitheld is $000 which i beleive they made the pendig payments for 2011 when i used to work on campus for few hrs in 2011.

IS there anyone with this situation where ur w2 has some negligible income .Should i filetax return now or not. even if i file it dont make anysense coz i dont have single penny of tax witheld. What to doo please suggest.
