Does anyone know if the processing steps for spouse and daughter (8yrs old) are the same at the NVC? Both are residing in different countries abroad. Thanks.

The interview date is up to the availabilty of time at the Embassy in your country. I read that some applicants received their interview letter after 2 days they had completed their case, others after 2 weeks or even 1 month. It's up to your embassy.

Well, one of two things could happen:

They may schedule and interview date for you and then, even you approve the interview, they will ask you to keep wating 'till your priority date becomes current again, OR

They won't schedule your interview 'till your priority date becomes current.

All these mean we have to conitnue being patient... May God help us!!

I read few posts and must say its like a big family here...everyone helps each other. I hope to hellp and get help as well

I have only called twice and everytime they say it will take 15-30 days.

After reading some posts, I saw that one has to keep up with them...

Should I keep contacting at the 603-334-0700??

And If I understand correctly the next step is to keep the DS-3032 ready to email.....

According to a very prominent analysis of the new Visa Bulletin - in October F2A category will retrogress back to between Sept 2012 and Oct 2012 - I hope his analysis is accurate, his others have been mostly accurate till now.

Generally speaking, what they say is 20 working business days from the day they receive it. That is 4 weeks time. If they send you any RFEs or Checklist cause you did something wrong in your papers - that will delay it for few more weeks. After your case is completed, it takes 2-3 weeks for them to issue you an interview letter. If they give you the letter in August it will be for September most likely.

Your PD is June 29, 2011. The PD is relevant to when your interview date is. If your interview is in August or September, which it prob can't be - then it would be no problem. In October they are going to retrogress the date and prob push it back a year or two. If the new cut - off date is before your PD like say if it is April 2011, then you won't be able to have an interview or if you do get the interview somehow you won't get the visa until the PD becomes later than June 29, 2011.

Hope that answers your questions Javeria! Now just keep in mind - most males in Pakistan even after the interview have to go through Administrative Processing which could mean weeks to months to in some rare cases years - so just don't plan or expect something to happen soon - think and plan long-term and it will be better for you.

As long as the date they have there is after your Priority date (which is June 2011) then you don't need to worry. Right now for month of August it is current means - it is August 2013.

In September it will be September 2013 also. But in October they might move it back. If they move it to any date after June 2011, like lets say September 2011 or 2012, you don't need to be worried b/c you are already before that date and your case won't get delayed. If the date is before June 2011 then your case will get delayed until the date moves past June 2011.
