longest NOA2 wait time ever?

I filled my I 130 in dec 2012 and customer care says its transferred to local service center. It's good that at least the local service center has all our details from the time we filled our GC and citizenship . I had been @ the same address same city since 2005 with no arrest or any case on me or my family . My service center as per the website process only two forms and still we are facing this delay

For USCIS to process a citizen 130 application they need the petitioners birth certificate and US naturalization / US passport . I sent the same birth certificate which I used for my GC filing in 2005 my US naturalization certificate issued to me and the completed form . Now they are trying to verify there own documents which we submitted. We can understand if the documents are for a work visa with employment letters and other documents it can take time for them to verify all that but for a standalone I 130 ?

This just got my hopes down, that i wont be seeing my husband soon or his daughteer

.if i tell him the wait time, ge would freak out!

Feb 21 2013 filed i 130

Noa 1 notification feb 25,2013

* a question a wana throw in here what does it mean for priority date of NOA?? It has date of feb 25,2013

You're in the wrong forum. This is a forum for K1 fiancé(e) visas and you are chasing a CR1/IR1 spousal visa.

You are also in the wrong forum. You are doing the spousal visa, not the K1 visa path.

Shame on you, EygptA, for posting this. This is the last thing any of us need to hear. You think you are helping us by writing this? Also, my opinion is that if the wait makes you question the relationship, you shouldn't be getting married in the first place. If I was smart I would not come to this site any more. Soooooo negative. Too negative.

Shame on you, Greenshoots, for taking the time to read a forum that is the last thing you want to hear about, why u looking? i think the topic is pretty clear what this post is about, if you don't understand i would be more than happy to dumb it down for you.......

This is a forum for people to discuss, learn, and vent their experiences and feelinga thru this whole process. what one may think does not help another, may help for others coping. secondly i NEVER said i would not wait for my fiance or that i questioned my relationship...i would wait 10+ years if i had to and he would do the same as well......those were other users that made that comment not me, get it straight before you accuse........oh and there is a little thing called freedom of speech

and by the way, if you were smart, don't come to VJ anymore posting on forums that is the last thing u want to hear about

......so butt out of my topic you're being wayyyy more negative than i am, too negative

Every one else...thank u for your comments, experience and helpful thoughts

EEygptA- I owe you an apology because I mis-labled my comment. You are definitely fine writing about the excrutiating wait time. I mis-read a post. The post that I thought was completely unhelpful is the one about Sara. Somebody telling all of us people waiting about somebody who had a relationship die becuase of the delay was my intended target. That is the last thing to post. I thought it was very dumb and I know they were trying to say how great sara is- but, that is the last thing to post. What we all need is positive comment about hanging in, some hope. Sorry I labeled my criticism at you. I made a mistake.

p.s. Eegypt A- have you contacted your Senator's office?

It directly answered the question in the OP.
Somebody telling all of us people waiting about somebody who had a relationship die becuase of the delay was my intended target. That is the last thing to post. I thought it was very dumb and I know they were trying to say how great sara is
You know that for a fact, do you?
but, that is the last thing to post. What we all need is positive comment about hanging in, some hope.
Perhaps this was the second post that you misread. The story was told to try to put your situations into perspective. In short, however bad your circumstances seem to be, someone else's will always be worse.
Sorry I labeled my criticism at you. I made a mistake.
Yes, you did, but it's classy of you to apologize.

As a suggestion to all: Rather than bemoaning your wait, continually spending hours on hold while calling USCIS, continuously checking your case status on the USCIS website, pestering your Senators or your Congressional immigration liaison, or venting in this thread, spend the time studying the next stages of the process, particularly the consular phase. Spend the time preparing your life and your home to receive your beneficiary. Find out exactly what he/she wants to do, and line up the steps for those goals so that he/she hits the ground running.

For example, if the beneficiary wants to attend school here, find out the requirements for admission 3 months hence, 6 months hence, etc. Research scholarships (some could well be available).

Begin planning your LIFE TOGETHER. This means nuts & bolts, not just "we'll live happily ever after." Research posts by the member "Gary and Alla" for details.

Probably none of the veteran VJ members wants to see one post like the following, from any of you, in the coming weeks or months:

"We got the NOA2!!! What do we do now? What's the next step?"

"Should I be there when he/she has the visa interview?"

"Can we go on a Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon?"

"How soon can he/she work here and go home to visit?"

"We don't have money for AOS! When do we need to apply?"

It's hoped that the above is "positive comment about hanging in, some hope."

Do you think your delay has something to do with the new DACA visas?
Everyone's delay has everything to do with DACA. The one man to blame is the one who rammed this program down everyone's throats -- bypassing Congress -- and ordering the Service Centers to make the program a political priority to the detriment of everyone else who was waiting in line. It's no secret that processing of other visa types ground to a halt in August/September, and the reason is obvious. Edited by TBoneTX

IMO the wait is long no matter how many weeks/months/years it takes if you truly love your fiance/e and sometimes things zip through pretty quickly, other times not. You can ask for advice here if you think after reading the site extensively that there is a problem and even then, after following the best responses, it may still not be a good run. Trust me... I know this.

Ultimately it is your choice as to how you proceed. Best of luck in your journey (F)

That's what burns me the most about this...the bullshit lies. Bunch of ####### tools.

I truly wish there was a way to make them pay for their insolence. I'd love to have 5 minutes alone with one of those #######.

 - Exactly... the promises that have been made to us that turned out to be total lies. I understand that there is a process and its painful enough... but the lies and misinformation are what hurt the most because we are waiting and depending on their responses so we know how to plan our lives, day to day, week to week, month to month. But when it turns out to be completely made up b/s there is no excuse for that and thats what causes the pain.

Maybe you should speak for yourself. All this #### was done 7 months ago, and the things that still need to be done are dependent on knowing when my fiancee will be here, which can't ###### be done when USCIS is sitting on my (and many others) cases.

I will say, the one positive out of this is I am in in great shape, since every time I workout, I imagine the nameless, faceless coward who made the decision to stifle I-129Fs at CSC being crushed under the weight stacks. I imagine with each rep, more broken bones, blood, and guts of that ###### tool. I am training for the day, how ever infinitesimally unlikely, that I may meet face to face with him.
