Check out my timeline. It all depends on your case and where your beneficiary is from. It took my fiancée (now wife) a little less than 4 months from the day I filed her I-129F till the day she arrived in the U.S Good luck to you all who are still waiting.

Shame on you, EygptA, for posting this. This is the last thing any of us need to hear. You think you are helping us by writing this? Also, my opinion is that if the wait makes you question the relationship, you shouldn't be getting married in the first place. If I was smart I would not come to this site any more. Soooooo negative. Too negative.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Case Progress subforum. ***

(Organizer hat off)

No one here had a rougher experience than the member Sara, a true sweetheart who's still active on VJ. Her file was lost or misplaced for over two years. She pursued channels with dogged patience, finally reached a breaking point, and at last the NOA2 showed up. Sadly, by that time, her fiance had lost patience with the wait, and the relationship ended.

The epitome of classiness is how Sara handled every joyous VJ post of "We got the NOA2!" In every instance, she posted a sincere response of congratulations without one breath of self-pity, although her heart must have been breaking several times over.

Perhaps Sara will visit this thread and help to put your own waits into a different perspective by telling her story.

Wow, that is really sad... If I was in that situation, I think we would be visiting each other while waiting for the NOA2, even though that takes a lot money to travel... But I know the most horrible feeling is not being able to plan out your future because you just have no idea how long it will take to get the NOA2.

I do really feel sad for the K-1 filers who are now waiting for so so long... It's horrible how long it's taking...

While the case of Sara is very unfortunate and sad, that is not a typical experience.

Yes, many of us July filers are still waiting...MANY. Yes, many of us are upset, stressed and worried. But it is very unlikely that our wait will stretch out to two years.

Now, if the majority of July had already been processed along with several months after, and CSC had not came to a complete hault a few months ago on seemingly everyone who filed after mid-July, then perhaps it would be ok to think that something was wrong with our cases and that we may be facing a very, very long wait.

So while yes, this wait is very hard and seemingly unfair, especially to us July filers, the fact that there are many others in the same situation shows that it is not our individual cases that are causing problems and delays for us, but rather it is the entire workload and processing priority of CSC.

it's different for everybody... Someone I met on Visajourney filed almost the same day we filed for my K1, at the same filing location. His petition was approved 9 months later... mine took 22 days! WE WERE IN SHOCK! Hopefully yours will be approved soon!

We waited since March 19, 2012. We will be together on April 12, 2013! Our NOA2 was November 2012. Hang in there. We all have to wait too.

I am the USC.

Not sure why cases are being transferred to. Local service center . Even if its getting transferred its good because the local office had access more to our details than the service center , like driving records , tax return etc

More over the local center have only few forms that they process. In my case I looked at my service center and it shows only 2 forms they process and still we have this delay in getting approved .

I think the form goes back from local service center to one of the 4 service center before it gets approved and it is at this point we are seeing the delay...

I filled in Dec 2012 and had 2 discussion with tier 2 service center with no outcome. The tier two I think sent an email to service center and waits for the response. They might get a response or they might not get a response

I have very less faith in this system because no one knows the exact reason why it's getting delayed.

For 130 for parent , spouse there are no visa numbers it's just sending the right documents. The USCIS had the petitioner details from. The time we started work moved on filing our green card , then citizenship and now we are petitioning our own parents.

What more details they need. Any ways god bless the system

Sorry to hear about Sara .. Trust me things will be good

We are all in the same boat with the totally screwed up system. The Service center has all over details ) petiotioner ) right from the time we came to work on work visa , then moved on with our green card and then citizenship . In my case my GC was approved in 06 , my citizenship in 2012 and still the USCIS is verifying there own issued document except for my birth certificate which is the same when I filled my green card and citizenship . We can understand the delay when they process documents that are sent from overseas but not for some one who just got his citizenship paid all taxed from the time I started work in the US.

God bless the system we can just keep waiting so that we can give our parents the comfort we enjoy here on US. My mom a widow is 70 and needs my help I spoke to the level 2 support twice and till date there is no response, they say they have requested the service center and waiting. For a response or else in 30 day we can sent a second request .

I hope I get the approval before some thing goes wrong with my MOM because of her health.
