Need to file Change of Address after POE?

Hi everyone,

Quick question about whether to file a change of address form.

Basically, when my fiance (the USC) filed the I-129F, she listed my brothers address in the US as the address where I (the K1 beneficiary) would stay. But for the interview at the embassy, we decided to list her address as my US residential address. I did my US entry a few days ago and listed her address on the I-94.

So my question is: do I have to file a change of address form? I want the USCIS to have her address on record as my residential address. Also, is it a requirement that everyone on K1 has to file the change of address form after entering the US?

Would appreciate any thoughts?

Thx.

It is not a requirement to change address, only if you moved. You have to inform USCIS so they know where they can reach you especially if you have a pending case. You can change address online: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

Change of address is not required to be filed on entry to the USA unless your address has changed since the paper work was done like your situation.

GC holder and USC should file the change of address but the GC holder is required by law to change the address within 10 days of moving to the new address the USC is not required by law to do this. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=2e5174ab3d2fa210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

IMO, since AOS not filed yet, not to worry about this address change.

Handle all with the next round of forms for Adjustment of Status, and that's it.
