We went for our AOS interview yesterday in Philly (with our attorney). The meat & potatoes of the interview took less than 10 minutes. There was some chitchat between me and the interviewer about our respective govt jobs (initiated by him). He asked for very little (we had plenty).

At the end of the interview he told us that the case was certainly approvable but he NEVER approves at the interview, because he like to look back over the file. He added ....you can tell your friends and family that it went VERY WELL :thumbs: and smiled. Our attorney just told us to expect the green card in about three weeks. We took it a cause to celebrate and had dinner out. Still though it was kind of weird to me, especially after so many folks say they get approved at the interview. We were told by our attorney (before coming) not to expect to be stamped, that Philly was not doing that as a rule anymore.

I will add that I've found this forum to be helpful and pleasant (usually). I didn't post more because hubby was adjusting on an overstay and I really didn't need the bashing (from some). I understand what most of you have gone through and respect that it was done "legally". But those of you with little tolerance need to walk a mile in our shoes. It was certainly never our intent to "break the law" but things happen to put folks in situations beyond their control. I am thankful the same law/s helped us to get through this and for hubby to be some day a proud citizen of this awsome country (in three years) :dance: .

Oct 20....I-94 expires

Oct 22....Mailed AOS/EAD

Oct 24....Receipt date

Nov 2.....AOS/EAD NOA date-rec'd Nov 4 via USPS.

Nov 4.....Checks cashed/Touched (AOS/EAD).

Nov 12...Rec'd AOS bio appt notice.

Nov 23...AOS Biometrics They also did EAD as I had my NOA, Sioux Falls, SD.

Dec 30....Rec'd AOS Interview Notice

AOS 06

Jan 9......EAD approved, email notice to say card ordered

Jan 11....EAD touched/email to say approval notice has been mailed

Jan 14....Rec'd EAD in mail

Mar 30....AOS Interview in St Paul, MN APPROVED!!

Apr 03....Welcome to America Notice rec'd & AOS 'Touched'

Apr 04....Email to say GC ordered

Apr 10....GC arrives in mail

Apr 11....Order new SS card without notation and rec new DL. I live here now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have another question...........I registered online for EAD & AOS BUT neither have ever been updated at all and hubby got his EAD in November.....had anyone else had this experience.

The online status for my EAD changed when I got approval and eventually the actual card. But the AOS hasn't (even until now) and I already have my green card on hand.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
