Hi! Newbie here but have been reading posts as a non-member. I'm a USC filer for K1 going on more than 5 months now at CSC. Can't take it anymore so I am joining forces here. Did you guys know of an official USCIS Facebook account? (Ooops... can't post a link since Im a newbie. Just look for the USCIS offical FB on your FB accounts). We can also "bombard" this site with our postings under their Topic on March 12 about the load transfer. I've seen some posts there but not a considerable amount. Maybe they would lend an ear (or at least be visible to them) if that topic is loaded with tons of postings by us. Just my thought or did I miss this post. Thanks

The rage is still there, just getting tired of posting with no changes.

At the rate CSC is processing, "I'd" be concerned if I was "only" 5 months. There is a good chance that you'd be even longer than mine will be....whenever that is.

That's why I figured we also post on their official USCIS Facebook account. We spread the word, they might listen and do something. I may not be a direct beneficiary (if they don't act now) of this crusade but for future/less month waiting filers. I read this Mission Statement on FB :

"USCIS secures America's promise as a nation of immigrants by providing accurate and useful information to our customers, granting immigration and citizenship benefits, promoting an awareness and understanding of citizenship, and ensuring the integrity of our immigration system." I was like, Really??? How come your website is not accurately updating info??

I found this topic on VJ as well: K-1 petition information Chat with VSC director. (Oh well it wont let me post a link since I dont have 5 posts yet) It's an old post (September 2009) but significant today. To quote one paragraph: "Why is VSC taking so long, what happened? I was approved in 58 days!: We had problem with labor last year and lost many workers, we hired more last November and it took some time to get them trained. Some of the petitions were sent to California and we also assign people to different types of visas. They will concentrate on one type, get behind on another and then shift many people back to the other type. Lately we have shifted many, almost all, adjudicators to I-129fs, so that should make people happy. They will do that until they get caught up. Summer is a busy time for I-129fs, usually about June we get slammed with them. The winter or early spring is the slowest time for I-129fs, but then it depends what they have everyone working on also." It's like an Aha! moment... so it means they shifted to DACA processing and there was/is a "shift in priorities" of processing/adjudications because of the influx of another immigration agenda by a 'higher' authority (you know who). The suspicion is TRUE then about DACA prioritization. And if this director still exist, why can't this VJ senior member contact him and ask for help for us? Just a thought

Another Quote from the said interview: "So what about some people get approved ahead of others? Some petitions have problems or delays, we do not hold back others for this. If an adjudicator has problems, he puts that one aside or sends an RFE and goes on to the next. The next one may be clean and gets approved right away, in just a few minutes, they adjudicate 15-20 petitions a day per person, and the ones with problems may wait weeks for the petitioner to respond to the RFE, or maybe it is a name check they are waiting for. Petitions are assigned as they arrive, when we are working on those petitions, but they do not go out the door in the same order they came in."

... hmmmm "in just a few minutes, they adjudicate 15-20 petitions a day per person"... if so why are approvals so slow then?

The frustration hasn't died down at all -- see the "USCIS Service Centers" forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
