**** Moving from Bringing Family to CR-1 spousal visa *****

There is no waitinglist, but processing times are slow right now- and to a certain extent will also depend on how quickly you send stuff back at future steps and how quickly your embassy can schedule an interview. You are looking at the bulk of a year though.

Wht about I 129f I.e k3 alongwith the I 130 petition?

K3 route is normally closed at the NVC stage. It's also USCIS policy to adjudicate the files together. A K3 is not faster.

When the K-3’s I-130 reaches the Department of State, an immigrant visa is immediately available to him or her such that the he or she and his or her children are no longer eligible for K-3/K-4 nonimmigrant status source

So if you file the I-130 and the I-129f at the same time, unless the I-129f is received and processed before the I-130 it will be closed and the I-130 alone will proceed with processing.

I am neither. I have done some research...

As per the K3 route being administratively closed by the NVC. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2993.html#5

On a side note, you just joined VJ today and you're telling EXPERIENCED members that they have no authenticity and are misguiding? Please refrain from such comments. Many members here are very well rounded in knowledge about the immigration system and are here to help. The VJ community is very helpful and knowledgeable with the rules, guidelines, and regulations of USCIS, NVC, and Embassies. If you do not like something here, you are welcome to leave.

Members that have responded so far are correct in what they have said. In fact, they gave links from the USCIS/NVC themselves-therefore, validating their statement.

As for the K3 visa, it is obsolete-rarely given out anymore.

:ot2: OP, as members have said, there is really no time frame. The USCIS adjudicates cases on their own accord, therefore, it could take a few months to a year or more (give or take).
