You in no way directed where your I-130 gets processed at. All I-130's are going to NBC. Here's hoping your local field office isn't tied up. Thats the next step. But all you can do is wait and hope.

I decided today to call USCIS to inquire the status of my petition which has been pending 77 days today. I was transferred to a tier 2 upon request. The officer was so nice and talkative to the point that I was the one rushing to get off the phone. I asked him why is that some case with same priority date are being process before others? Reason I asked was because I know of people who filed the same time and their petitions are at the NBC. The petitions were never transferred to local office. The officer told me cases depend,...However he told me everything looked good with my case and that I should wait another 2 months or so. I then asked him, why the wait if everything looks good with my case? I miss my wife. He laughed and said I should hear from them shortly. The wait has been traumatizing me and this is just PART 1 not includingNVC and the US Consulate waiting periods. I will call again in two weeks and every two weeks after that.
