Does the biometrics appt letter have a receipt #? If so, is it different than the NOAs? Is there a way I can look online to see when the biometrics letter was scheduled? I still have not received the biometrics appt letter. They mailed a "letter" once and it was returned to the office as undeliverable. Not sure if it's even this letter they sent, but I received all 3 NOAs already. Are there any other letters I would receive prior to the biometrics appt letter? USCIS said they will resend another letter, but it's been 2 weeks and I still haven't received it. So I'm worried that we have missed the appt(s).

If you have all the NOA letters then no there are no other letters before biometrics appointment, unless it was an RFE!

You should be able to go online and check the case status,use the numbers on your NOA, the biometrics typically has the same case number written on it.

I would suggest you phone USCIS and ask for an officer tho in your situation. The case status checker will only have a generic post on it.

Biometrics letter does not have anything on it like a NOA. It does have your case numbers and bar codes on it. If you believe that it was your biometrics letter, contact USCIS and ask when is/was your appointment. Another member went to their ASC office and told them what happened with mail being returned and they had supervisor approve them to get it done.

I've called USCIS twice and both times they sent a request for another letter to be sent. I still haven't received the letter. I requested an appt at the local USCIS office. The appt is today. So I'm hoping once we explain our case, they will do the biometics today. It's been almost 2 months since I mailed the application. If things were going according to schedule, we'd have the work permit soon, but instead we're stuck in limbo due to this biometrics appt letter that we haven't received. I'm so frustrated. When I called USCIS, they said they don't even have access to what type of letter was sent or returned.

I have heard of people getting "walk-in" biometrics appts at certain locations. Take your NOA and passport and hopefully they can just do it at once. Good luck!

Walk-ins are generally only done when you have already been booked an appointment and have the appointment letter.

I made an appt through Infopass on the USCIS website. They scheduled a biometrics right there on the spot since we haven't received the biometrics appt letter.
