NVC completed our case on Nov 15...less than 60 days!!!! WOW!!!

Now we wait for the interview appointment letter and hopefully an interview date at Manila in Feb or Mar.

The auto message system will tell you. I called the evening of Nov 15 and still had the missing or incomplete info message. By morning Nov 16 it said case completed Nov 15!!

anyone know what the next step is? i asked the operator and she said that they are waiting for manila embassy to assign the interview date before they can forward the documents over. but how will manila know to give us an interview date?

soulm8z0928 was kind enough to share to me that they set interview dates every 2nd week of the month. guess we just missed the last batch. well at least i can plan for next month's trip. i hope we get our dates soon so i can plan further than december. anyone else flying to manila for Christmas?

I'm guessing now that we wait until we are scheduled for the interview. There is an online interview appointment link on the US Embassy Manila immigrant visa page where u can plug in the case number and get the interview date once it is scheduled.

Take a look at the very lengthy manila embassy thread on embassy and consulates forum for some recent and very interesting and logical information about case number assignment and interview priorities. I just checked our case assignment date, and yes indeed, sept 22 is the 265 day of 2006, so the 500+ 265 is indeed 765 which is our case number (2006765XXX). I guess the three numbers after the year change every day, so there are much fewer cases in que than I first thought. If that date is in fact the priority date for scheduling interviews and they are now scheduling interviews in jan 2007 for case numbers in the 730s and 740s, then we have a very good shot at a feb or mar 2007 interview, which we had prayed so hard for. I'm not about to assume that we'll make it just yet, but instead I'll continue to trust in God as we have through this entire process. You know, we did NOA1 to case complete in under FIVE months!!! That is amazing!!!

We have a 729 number and still no interview date...we were documentarily approved on oct. 17 and put in the queue in manila...NVC still hasnt sent the documents there. Also with cr-1 for the Philippines its the NVC that sets the interview date. Right now it seems its taking about 5 to 6 months from the time your case is complete to get the interview...again sorry to be a downer...just trying to put some reality on it.

oh no! reality check! must restore hope......ok, the 2nd week of every month they schedule interviews the following month. 2nd week of december they will schedule jazzy, juncel, and others ahead of us. january they will sked me, w1n78, Michael and Milahjean, tomrein, dims1, and any others on our similar timeline. that's the way it's going down, see. YEHEY! happy days are here again!

hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. anyways, knowing that they set interviews every second of the month just made it seem longer haha. but at least we're cleared for the next step. i'm just trying to save all my vacation days so i can keep flying back to manila during this process.

i've never experienced anything like this before. i'm the type that likes to take control or have control over situations i get myself into but this is one that i can't do that with. well, i plan on flying next week. anyone want any "pasalubong"
