Why did I receive this email??

Today USCIS sent me this email:

On April 4, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

Why did they email me this?? First of all I don't have a Alien Registration Number, I was born here in the US. And secondly, my petition was approved last week, why does it say initial review again?

Could this have to do with when I applied 129f petition in hopes of a k3 visa? I thought that petition was automatically cancelled if your I-130 petition was approved first? THIS IS SO STRESSFUL!

the 129F would more than likely been closed at NVC not USCIS.

Also I reported that your receipt# be removed. DO NOT post personal info like that. In the wrong hands can cost you a hot mess.

Did you call USCIS to see what is up?

Did you call USCIS to see what is up?

Yes I called them and the rep told me he had no idea what was going on, so he connected me to an "immigration officer."

After literally waiting for 2 hours, I hung up. They had closed anyway. I'm going to try this again tomorrow. It's been stressing

me out, but I pray it's just a minor issue.

So an update to what happened:

I finally was able to reach an immigration officer and he told me that my petition was still showing approved on his system, so Just disregard the email.

He told me it was a glitch in the system and that the system was randomly sending out this message

absolutely !

no auto cancelling at USCIS.

That occurs at NVC, if/when.
