AM APPROVED

I am finally approved. I just received text for both my i485 and i130. I would like to thank the entire April filers and the names of people listed below “especially” whenever am depress and worried that my everybody on April filer has been granted their greencard, one of these names would check on me and re assure me that it is well. I was so scared because I have a lot of red flags. One my red flags is the age difference which is 13yrs and I got married less than 60 days arriving in United State on B2 and my wife previously filed for her former husband, but I believe if your marriage is real then you have nothing to worry about. I supplied numerous proofs and supporting documents and glory be to the Almighty. I got my senator involve and I did had 3 infopass, at one time, I was told my IO is a junior staff. Today is exactly 3months after my interview and thanks all.

I thought I would pop in just to see if there was any change to your case ... so happy that your wait is over - with GLORIOUS news!!!!

On our front ... I'm out of work and Dave is now employed. It's only seasonal but he hopes he can turn that into more. We just bought our first car together. Actually, it was ironic since we celebrated our first wedding anniversary last week. The "official" gift for the first anniversary is paper. That would be the title to our new car. It was so hard surviving with just one vehicle. One of us would always be stuck at home while the other was working. Ugh!

This has been a helluva year & a helluva struggle. There have been times where Dave or I have wanted to throw in the towel. We're still pushing through though.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is well.

Aww! Thank you guys! That is so sweet of you to remember and check in on me. Unfortunately, still no word on my case. I hear that the average processing time of independent I-130s has gone up to 9-12 months now! I'm on month 7 now. I've decided to not let it dictate my life and peace of mind so I'm just going about my business and letting it run its course.

I will make sure to keep you posted on the progress. You will surely hear me scream out aloud when I finally have my approval :)

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

I have a minor update on my case ... I received an email update last night that said that my I-130 file was being transferring to a different office. I still haven't received the physical letter in the mail so I'm not sure if they will tell me which office in particular the case has been transferred to. Now all this could mean is the file is being transferred from the pile on top of one person's desk to that of another's. But, I'm going to look at the glass half full and hope that this means that they have actually begun reviewing my case. Hope to have some good news in the coming weeks.

For my fellow April filers who might still check in here, I have another update. I received a text and email last night that my case was now being transferred to the local office which for me is Memphis.

I mailed my package in April to the Chicago lockbox, and then I imagine the case was forwarded to Lees Summit (since I have a MSC number). So for 7 months, it was probably sitting in some room or stuck in a pile on someone's desk before they decide that oh a local office should probably process the case. It took them this long to figure this out? What the heck?! So flipping frustrating! Who knows how long it will take in my local office now!

I guess I should be thankful that I can at least work and am not cooped up at home like some other people waiting on the process to run its course. Will keep y'all posted on how things progress from here on out.

I have yet another update! I received an info notice in the mail yesterday (notice dated 11/18/13) stating that my case had been transferred to the Texas Service Center for processing due to the backlog at NBC.

Here's the problem ... I also received two emails from the USCIS on 11/19/13. The first one said that my case "was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office." The second email received a few hours later on the same day said that my case "transferred to your local USCIS Office for further processing."

For what its worth, the case status online states that it has been transferred to the local USCIS office as well.

So now I have no idea where my case has been transferred to. Memphis is my local office. What notice/email should take precedence?

I sort of hope it is Texas since that is where my I-485 filing has been sitting idle. So merging the two will be that much easier.

My I-130 was finally approved yesterday!! Next step is to send a letter asking them to combine it with my I-485 filing. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter!

My USCIS Journey...

 

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

09/03/14 - Day 517 - Wrote a request to my Congressman asking for assistance

09/09/14 - Day 523 - Status updated to Card/Document Production

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card mailed to address on record/permanent resident status registered

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card picked up by USPS.

09/16/14 - Day 530 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL!!

I-751 Timeline:

05/25/16 - Day 000 - I-751packet mailed to CSC

05/27/16 - Day 002 - I-751 packet received at CSC

06/02/16 - Day 008 - Check cashed

06/03/16 - Day 009 - NOA1 received. Receipt Date: 05/27/16

06/10/16 - Day 016 - Biometrics appointment notice received - appointment date 6/22/16

06/22/16 - Day 028 - Biometrics Appointment - complete

01/04/17 - Day 224 - Status update - ROC Approved!  Card production ordered.

01/09/17 - Day 229 - Status update - Approval notice letter received.  Also received a notification that the card has been mailed.

01/11/17 - Day 231 - Card received in the mail!

N-400 Timeline:

12/02/20 - Day 000 - N-400 application submitted online; case received.

01/06/20 - Day 035 - Biometrics reuse notification received.

04/01/21 - Day 119 - Voluntary withdrawal N-400 Application.

N-400 Resubmission:

11/02/22 - Day 000 - N-400 application submitted online; case received.

11/02/22 - Day 000 - Biometrics reuse notification received.

01/05/22 - Day 064 - Interview scheduled for 02/14/23.

02/14/23 - Day 104 - N-400 Approved! 

08/18/23 - Day 289 - Oath Ceremony notice received - scheduled for 09/29/23.

I'm very sure you see me doing the happy dance...I'm so so so happy that updates are going on and you even have I-130 approved, so at least it's not in file 13 somewhere with Peter Pan in Neverland....I'm happy....

I pray that they combine all your docs soon and you can join us in the party room...we are still holding our champagne glassesin the congo line!!!jest.gifjest.gif

06/14/13 - Status update - EAD/AP card mailed out (Tracker: USPS estimated delivery date 6/17/13)

06/17/13 - EAD/AP Combo Card arrival!!!!!! (I am cute looking in my picluv.gif)06/20/13 - I-485 Interviewgoofy.gif

06/20/13 - Pronto Approval!!!! "As of today you are a Legal Permanent Resident of the USA"

06/20/13 - Status updated 3 times (1-485 card approval/production, 1-130 approval NOA mailed out & 1-NOA of LPR registration status)

06/26/13 - Status update - GC mailed out (Tracker: USPS estimated delivery date 6/29/13 )

07/01/13 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY and 4th of JULY to me (GC received - Praise be to God for another miracle and blessing!!!) cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gifTears of Joy!!

REMOVAL OF CONDITION (ROC)

03/02/15 - USCIS Removal of Condition reminder letter received

01/26/16 - Email notification - I-751 Approved and card in production

01/30/16 - Thank God!! received card in the mail (NEXT STEP - CITIZENSHIP)

Do you have to write a letter combining the I-130 and the I-485 if they are filed at different times. OR do they automatically combine them? thanks

9th April 2013 - Application sent (i-765 i-130 i-485)


22nd April 2013 - received text and email saying they had received package, dated received on 12th April


25th April 2013 - received hard copies of NOA receipt for all 3 forms


26th April 2013 - received Biometrics appt for 13th May in New Orleans


13th May 2013 - Biometrics appt done


7th June 2013 - received NOA to appear for interview on 10th July in Jacksonville


22nd June 2013 - received NOA interview cancelled and rescheduled for 29th July


28th June 2013- received EAD in mail


2nd July 2013- applied for social security number


9th July 2013- received social security card in mail



29th July 2013- interview 2pm APPROVED ON THE SPOT


1st August 2013 - received NOA "Welcome to the United States of America" letter


5th August 2013 - received green card in the mail
