I just saw this in my case status:

On August 29, 2013, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

But no tracking number. Will I get a new message with tracking #?

4/12/13 - sent I-485 package

4/15/13 - USCIS Chicago Lockbox received package

4/22/13 - got email and txt

4/29/13 - received NOA in mail

5/08/13 - received biometrics appointment for 5/22

5/09/13 - successful early walk in at Port Chester, NY office

5/22/13 - I-485 updated to Testing & Interview

6/18/13 - EAD went to production

6/21/13 - Card/Document Production for EAD - second email

6/24/13 - EAD mailed

6/26/13 - EAD arrived

7/18/13 - got email about interview

7/20/13 - got hard copy interview letter

08/23/13 - interview - Approved dancin5hr.gif(card production & decision email)

08/28/13 - card production - second email

Aww! Thank you Caramel! I'm still hanging around here. Staying busy with work and the forum seems to have slowed down too. Almost everyone who have provided consistent updates seem to have been approved at their interviews. I am about a week away from the "average" processing time for independent I-130 approvals so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some

Discoverusa, good job on the interview, sounds like you had an easy one also!!

When I received the email saying my card was on its way, it was a Friday, and I had it by the Monday. I think they say "you should have it within 30 days" just to cover their asses ;-)

9th April 2013 - Application sent (i-765 i-130 i-485)


22nd April 2013 - received text and email saying they had received package, dated received on 12th April


25th April 2013 - received hard copies of NOA receipt for all 3 forms


26th April 2013 - received Biometrics appt for 13th May in New Orleans


13th May 2013 - Biometrics appt done


7th June 2013 - received NOA to appear for interview on 10th July in Jacksonville


22nd June 2013 - received NOA interview cancelled and rescheduled for 29th July


28th June 2013- received EAD in mail


2nd July 2013- applied for social security number


9th July 2013- received social security card in mail



29th July 2013- interview 2pm APPROVED ON THE SPOT


1st August 2013 - received NOA "Welcome to the United States of America" letter


5th August 2013 - received green card in the mail

I know I am freaking out a little about the card, but I already have the tickets to fly to my country for next week and just found out my father will have serious surgery tomorrow.

So I got email about card mailed this morning but still no tracking number. Is it possible I just get it on Saturday without getting the tracking #?

Already spoke to my mail man and asked him to keep an eye on it.

Am still hanging in there but i got a feed back from the senator and i dont know what to think of it. I want you guys to read carefully and tell me what u feel the outcome will be or what to expect as per my i485. i think the reason why my case has been delayed this far could be due to couple of red flags. ie Previous marriage for myself and my wife and the age gap is about 12yrs but this is the woman i decided to fall inlove with and spend the rest of my life with. anyway lets go to the senator letter

after receiving your concerns, the USCIS provided thw enclosed response to my inquiry. I hope you find this information useful. thanks for the opportunity to assist in this matter. its a privilege to represent u in USA.

the officer working on this case believe that she will be able to close the case today 26th august 2013. the officer wil mail out the decision after the supervisor has had chance to review her work. Please let the applicant know that she will receive the decision within 30days.

my questions are as follows

does this sounds like a sign of approval?

am not sure about the 30days or should i seriously expect a reply within 30days as stipulated?

i think contacting the congressman is a good idea and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but since its a free service i will encourage people to go ahead and try their luck. i attended an info-pass that was more or else a waste of time so i took this route instead. my interview was on July12 2013 in Houston

My green card didn't arrive today as scheduled. There was mail delivery as always. I even called the post office to make sure of that. I am hoping for Tuesday then. ClockWatch2.gif

Mine hasnt arrived yet either it left knoxville on the 28th and hasn't been tracked anywhere since. I have an I551 temporary green card in my passport though. If you can get an Infopass appointment and show the ticket you should be able to get one as well.

Interview this week... eek! Getting nervous now. It's strange but my online case status hasn't updated.. it still showing the last update from when they cancelled my last interview. Has this happened to anyone else?

Also, I was going through my paper and I just noticed that my new notice for interview is not an I797C- NOA. It's a typed letter just asking me to appear for my interview. Do different offices have different forms?

04/01/2013 (day 0) - AOS packet sent via FedEx (I-130, I-485, I-765)
04/02/2013 (day 1) - Delivered to USCIS Chicago
04/10/2013 (day 9) - Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email. Awaiting official receipt notice (Form I-797) in the mail!
04/15/2013 (day 14) - Received NOA in mail, Biometrics appointment for 5/7/2013.
04/17/2013 (day 16) - Attempted walk in for biometrics = denied

05/07/2013 (day 36) - Biometrics appointment completed in Baltimore, MD

I will wait until Tue/Wed and see what happens. I really think it should be here on Tuesday. I signed up for USPS updates and it showed that the letter was precessed at sorting facilty in a near by town yesterday at 8:30 PM. That means it didn't get to my post office before the mailman left for his route yesterday.

My last resort will be info pass but hope it won't come to that.
