Was on the phone trying to get through USCIS to find out if Dave's biometric letter had been mailed (our mail person is notorious for mis-deliveries). As I was punching through the prompts, Dave runs in and grabs my hand and pulls me to the backyard. My sweet fur baby had passed away. Needless to say, I'm a bit shattered. I'm trying to stay focused but it's quite difficult.

I am so happy for those of you that are flying through the process - I must admit I'm a bit jealous.

I am, however, so grateful that Dave is here to help me through this - with both my mourning & my frustration.

I know in the March thread, someone graciously made a post with a roll call of all the March filers and where they are in their journey. I thought it would be a neat idea to have one for us April filers. I would do it but I'm not quite focused, Would someone be up to the challenge? Would be nice to see where the USCIS Class of April 2013 is at. (Ha.. Ha)

Sorry for the Debbie-Downer post. Just wanted to share that RL interrupted my USCIS hurry up n wait game.

Sorry to hear about your fur baby! Our doggie recently got diagnosed with bone cancer and had to have her leg amputated last Friday so I feel your pain though I'm sure yours is way worse. It helped give me a little perspective on my trivial wait (compared to what she's going through).

Unless someone beats me to it I will take a stab at putting together a Class of April 2013 table tomorrow.

My USCIS Journey...

 

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

09/03/14 - Day 517 - Wrote a request to my Congressman asking for assistance

09/09/14 - Day 523 - Status updated to Card/Document Production

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card mailed to address on record/permanent resident status registered

I submitted my i130' i485' and i765 on 26th april, just wondering if there's anyone that submitted in the 4th week in april, i haven't heard notin, not even a text or email but I guess it's a long way to go. Might have to see a doctor for anti anxiousness dose. I've never been like this in my life.

ur very funny. i just checked now and i got 2 initial review and acceptance for my i485. i think am in the right way. it doesnt look like am going to have my form returned back, i think ive done well but i pray for no RFE

Thanks so much for doing the list .. I can't even concentrate. Last thing I want to think about right now is where is the bio letter and that our stuff hasn't been touched.

Woo hoo, yes my EAD Status has changed to Card Production! This is a good day indeed.

Don't mean to be too personal, but do you both not work(husband and wife) because usually when both don't work the EAD is processed within two weeks

That would have been useful to know! But no, my wife works only part time, I'm entirely reliant on my savings until my EAD arrives; the only bonus point to that is I have at least secured a job in my field in advance. I was curious at how quickly the EAD status changed, given the majority of timelines. To my knowledge, I didn't do anything different!

Looking at the Dallas Field Office processing times for i485, I'm very very glad my EAD has turned around this quickly!

06/18/2013 (Day 75) - EAD approved

06/24/2013 (Day 80) - testing and interview

07/02/2013 (Day 88) - interview scheduled for August 2

That would have been useful to know! But no, my wife works only part time, I'm entirely reliant on my savings until my EAD arrives; the only bonus point to that is I have at least secured a job in my field in advance. I was curious at how quickly the EAD status changed, given the majority of timelines. To my knowledge, I didn't do anything different!

Looking at the Dallas Field Office processing times for i485, I'm very very glad my EAD has turned around this quickly!

Hello April filers! Below is a summary of everyone that has data filled in on their timelines. There was no way to insert a table (at least that I knew of) so I have inserted the summary as an image file. The table is sorted by filing date. I will try to update this table weekly so please keep your timelines updated to help me out. Please point out any errors if you see any.
