Guys so my interview is in 10 days. yesterday me & my wife met up with our lawyer to talk about pretty much everything that is going to happen on the big day! But unfortunately he gave me bad news :( as of Jan 14 2013 at the Greer office. They don't say if the case is approved or denied. All they say is that they will send us a decision by mail. The reason for this is because my office had a civil sut filed against them. Because an officer told them they were approved but later on when the supervisor got the file he denied it. Because at the end of the day the supervisor has the last say. So the couple sued the office. I guess I should look at it the positive way since now I won't be expecting a approved. Right Away

So quiet here today. Where is ddkorestin? Any news?

not yet. i will book an info pass against my one month interview anniversary. I really need to know what is delaying my green card. I really don't fancy Houston USCIS office at all. There was also a guy on here from KENYA that has to wait for almost 6 weeks before getting a decision. I was thinking we were all going to file to remove the condition in 21months time but i think i might have to wait a bit longer as it looks. thanks for checking on me. i made countless phone calls to the uscis number with no meaningful response other than their barbaric answers they give which is " Houston office is processing applications received in January, February, or march or sometimes they will tell u to that the outcome of your interview might take up to 3 months.

Specifically, your DL will expire. I've heard that some people have gotten an automatic extension (GC) while ROC is in process. I'm not sure how that works though. I think the EAD/AP combo card is invalid once the conditional GC is issued.

It will be interesting to see how it works. I'm not sure if we'll make it that far.

I hope it will go quicker than that.

9th April 2013 - Application sent (i-765 i-130 i-485)


22nd April 2013 - received text and email saying they had received package, dated received on 12th April


25th April 2013 - received hard copies of NOA receipt for all 3 forms


26th April 2013 - received Biometrics appt for 13th May in New Orleans


13th May 2013 - Biometrics appt done


7th June 2013 - received NOA to appear for interview on 10th July in Jacksonville


22nd June 2013 - received NOA interview cancelled and rescheduled for 29th July


28th June 2013- received EAD in mail


2nd July 2013- applied for social security number


9th July 2013- received social security card in mail



29th July 2013- interview 2pm APPROVED ON THE SPOT


1st August 2013 - received NOA "Welcome to the United States of America" letter


5th August 2013 - received green card in the mail

So my interview is next week n im getting real nervous. We dont have much to show that we live together bcuz im not on the lease. Sooo......how do I get junk mail addresed to both of us????

Might be too late for the junk mail since you've only one week until your interview ... Do you have a letter from the landlord/leasing agent stating you live there? How about a neighbor?

So that I and the other April filers can suggest other items, would you mind listing what you do have?

Ok heres what we have so far:

Bank statements showing Joint bank account.

Lots of pics from our wedding (it was a large wedding...atleast 130 guests) we also have pics from her numerous trips to ja to visit me.

We have only two letters addressed to both of us at the same residence.

From the wedding we have our wedding invitations n wedding programs n also wedding guestbook. Also cards from our guests.

Our marriage certificate.

Usps lost my ead so I couldn't get added to any of the bills or her insurance or even her lease. So thats what we have so far to proof a bonafide marriage
