I got e-mail yesterday for my I-485 card production (2nd one) and today that my card was mailed to me. But no tracking number yet.

And I got my SSC today in mail :)

From what I understand we will need just EAD and our foreign passport or birth certificate.

Went to apply for SSN today. They only looked at my passport and EAD. My husband updated his status to that of a US citizen and changed address with SSA. It was funny because the lady asked us to verbally certify that the information was true, so we both said yes, and our son said NO right after us (he is a 4 year old who says 'no' to everything). We all laughed and I said it was easy for him, he was born and SS card came in the mail.

It's funny how we are doing exactly the same thing on the same day.

Ours took few minutes as well. But we came around the time some of the workers had lunch so we spent around 1,5 h at the SS office. My husband was frustrated by the wait, but I told him to remember how fortunate we were to be able to do that (I mean apply for SS# for me). We know some people who would love to be in that position. So some inconvenience is a small price to pay.

I think it's getting more and more quiet every day now. People are getting their EADs and start working. I just finished my first work week and I loved everything about it. I think next week I'm gonna be even more happy when I see my first pay check :P

But I still gonna read this forum. And we all meet in here again March 2015 for ROC :D
