Interview notice arrived in the mail today, 9:45am July 24th. EAD tracking says it should be delivered on monday

I know that this question is not directed to me, but I did some research lately and wanted to share some info. Laws about DL vary by state. In CT if it's your first ever DL you need to have a permit for at least 3 months even if you are 18 or older.

If someone had a license from different country before, they may be able to get a license in US without having a permit first. I simplifies the process significantly if you had a license before, even not from US.

Your timeline shows your case update 5/22/13 - I-485 updated to Testing & Interview.

Is it still like this or you got interview appointment ? I am asking this because I am also waiting for the the letter to come.

Yes, I am still waiting. From the research I made it looks like my office takes longer. But I am still considering calling this week and asking for L2 customer service.

EAD arrived today!!! They changed the cards to newer more elagant sophisticated hi tech looking card LOL. My old EAD from OPT was nothing like this one :-)

I did some more research about DL in my state and it turns out that everybody with foreign DL will have to get a permit for 3 months (besides citizens from Canada, France and Germany). They have some agreement with those countries. Bummer for me. ClockWatch2.gif More waiting.

From what I have seen in other people timelines it looks like you will get it in 7-8 days. I got same email on 6/19 and tracking number shows that my card should arrive tomorrow (8 days).
