Yes I can't wait hopefully it comes before the end of the week. On a more sadder note I just went back over my forms and found an error

Form I-130, part C Has my wife's name and my son's name, should be my name instead of hers....I'm freaking out over a possible RFE and how a stupid mistake can slow down my process. Sigh...

O I know the feeling of wanting to pull out your hair :-) It's just normal at it gets worse as you go along as well lol. Especially when you are not working like me who has to sit here and look at the four walls all day

Goodbar- I did something similar. My husbands birthdate where I should have put my own. The best you can do, to try and avoid a RFE- or rejected all together- is 1) as soon as you have your receipt number for the i-130, call the uscis customer service line IMMEDIATELY. It'll take a little while, but they'll make a record of the mixed up information and give you a reference number to check back in 2 weeks.

Then, 2) write a letter stating the mixup; have both you and your wife sign it, and send it to the same address you sent your original packet.

We did this about a month ago, and just 2 days ago received a letter stating they had corrected the information for us. But it was sooo much better than having to go through the added period of a RFE, or having it sent back to us.

This might be a silly question and one that doesn't apply to me since I already have work authorization, but how do you tell that your form has been "touched?" Do you have different receipt numbers for each form?

Exactly that, I have 3 different receipt numbers for each form: the I-130, I-485 and I-765

On the USCIS website, I created an account here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp .

I added each of our receipt numbers so they are listed individually. When the date changes, you know that it's been "touched".

Ah! Thank you both. I have registered my case on that site but didn't realize that you call a change of date a "touch." I only have one filing submitted at this time (130) so only have one receipt number.

One other question - can the date change yet no change in the status of the case. For example, my case is currently "under review." So, could it be "touched" yet no change in status? Basically telling me that they are at least working on the case even though there's no change in status?

Yes indeed! Date can change but same statuses remain from time to time.
