Congrats to both you guys! So they didnt even ask to look at any of the bonafide evidence?

Nope...She said she had everthing she needed, and we volunteered to show her more pics and checking account statement, that were not filed in the package.

Yahoo!!!!! you must be overjoyed..once USPS picks it up then you will get an email saying same, but you have to go on your status update to see the tracking number (I guess it's hidden through the emails for security purposes).

Frustrated as all heck!

Mail was delivered but not Dave's card. The tracking system said it left the sort facility early this morning. Ugh, I hope the dang thing isn't lost already!!

Dave knows I'm stressed about "something".

dont worry carla if u get mails on weekend it will probably get there tomorrow! also bear in my mind u cant really do much today being that is friday! so what u can do is to put sum resume and cover letters together just in case u wanna drop sumthing off anywhere that might be hiring!

Social security card arrived today!!!!!! :D we're off to get a drivers license Monday, YAY! No more of me having to drive my poor husband around!!!!

In other news- he found work!! He was offered a job the morning after successfully passing our green card interview, and is ecstatic to be out of the house!! Who can blame him! :)

Thank you, I appreciate that. It's horrifically stressful process for all of us :/ I'm sure things will turn out just as well for you as well though. :) things have a way of always falling into place right when you need them to. :)

If someone had a license from different country before, they may be able to get a license in US without having a permit first. I simplifies the process significantly if you had a license before, even not from US.

Laws in NC ****! They don't accept my Estonian DL mad.gif

I got form DL-123 from my husband insurance company. That means I can go to DMV and apply for DL and do all the tests but I can'r drive after that. After I receive my SSN on mail we gonna look for cheapest insurance possible for me.

I do have a dl from Jamaica. I am in new york so I guess ill have to do some research to see tha process. It would b nice if I dont have to start over bcuz ive been driving for soo many yrs
