Well I finally got my EAD and AP and I'm now home with my family. I've been under testing and interviewing stage for over a month and a half but since that's normal for NYC I don't really fret.

I feel so sorry hearing about people who has lost their cards in the mail thanks to USPS! Seriously, I'd go frickin apeshit over that and not rest til someone took responsibility for it.

It's really sad how complicated this process is, I feel it shouldn't have to be like this in 2013. The whole AOS process that is. At least, they could make it digital...

Oh well.

Congrats on your card!

I will be stressing until Dave's card arrives. It should be here Friday.

The thing is ... I haven't told him. He has no idea it's been approved. He's in for a H U G E surprise :)

Wait until he calls my MIL, he's gonna get another surprise when she tells him that she already knew! LOL

(I hope he doesn't read VJ within the next couple of days ... EEK!)

thats really sweet carla! good way to keep the love flowing the household! but it would be hard for me to contain myself much less to keep a secret like that from my boo!

We quickly realized in our marriage that only 1 person can stress out at a time ... If we're both stressing then it's no bueno.

It's been hard keeping this from him but I've only 2 days to go. Whew!

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

Even those from busier states have at least been moved to testing and interview after biometrics , 59 days after my biometrics and still no movement!!!

I guess it wouldn't hurt to call. At least check if your biometrics cleared.
