Usps rli rli lost my ead...was hoping it would miraculously show up but it didn't....so job hunt postponed until further notice sad.pngsad.pngsad.png I feel like bawling

Hey Caramel! Thank you so much for checking in :) Sorry I've been absconding. Work has been slamming busy lately and I barely get a chance to pop in and read updates every now and then. The upside to that is that it has been a welcome distraction from the wait for any progress in my case. I also need to update the table which I will do tomorrow evening.

Hope all is well with you! All set for the big day this week I hope? I'm sure it will be a slam dunk for you guys. If I don't speak with you before then, all the very best to you for the interview! Sending lots of positive vibes your way :)

My USCIS Journey...

 

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

09/03/14 - Day 517 - Wrote a request to my Congressman asking for assistance

09/09/14 - Day 523 - Status updated to Card/Document Production

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card mailed to address on record/permanent resident status registered

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card picked up by USPS.

09/16/14 - Day 530 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL!!

It was mailed from last week Monday! Ive called the usps head office, ive called the post office that it was mailed to n ive been there like twice already n ive only gotten tha same response everytime, they cant seem to locate my envelope. ...sukks

Thank You! but its really odd,I was reading some timelines here and there,most people if not all get their interview date in a couple of weeks to 3 weeks after the "testing and interview " thing on-line..how come my case is taking that long just to tell me what day is my interview ? what is it ? the local office is busy or something?

Don't you worry! I actually have the same situation ,I filed in mid April as well, and it has been more than a month since my case was changed to testing and interview..and I haven't heard from them yet , not sure what to do at this point other than waiting ..My local office in Des Monies which a couple of hours from me ,and when i went for biometrics they weren't busy at all,i was the only one ..I am not in Chicago or New York!

Is there anyone on here who had an interview in Des Monies before ? do they take that long usually ?

once again to keep it up to date can u tell us ur checklist as to what u will be taking to the interview!

For us, not really much since I didn't have a SSN and thus limitations to what I can be added to;

1. Copies original filing forms

2. All original and copies of IDs (past and present passports, naturalization cert,, birth certs.,)

3. Marriage cert.

4. Wedding and event photos

5. Joint savings and checking accounts doc.

6. Joint utility bills

7. Phone record

8. Joint store cards

9. EAD card

What do you guys think, are we all set?...we tried out best.

Any suggestion is welcomed.

  • Affidavit from my husbands step-dad that we live in his house
  • My husbands accident policy where I am as a beneficiary
  • Affidavits from family members
  • 2 photo albums
  • Postcards and wedding invitations from friends
  • All NOAs from USCIS
  • Pay stubs
  • EAD card

We don't have much because I don't have a SSN and we couldn't add me to his bank account or to utility bills...

I will apply for SSN on our way to the interview

I think u can use ur ead n also ur passport to get added to the bank account. Check into it
