On June 13, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I can't wait for Dave to get his license & a job ... he needs to get out & about. It's been like living with a caged animal pacing back & forth. He's been so restless.

Seems like april filers have been on the roll. Unfortunately my case is probably being handled by either a lazy person or maybe he is on vacation in Hawaii. My case is simple, but I never got any updates after my biometrics. I inquired about it and was told expect a long delay for your local office. EAD which are supposedly handled by the NBC , u would think , do not have anything to do with the local office so I would expect when april filers start receiving their EADs I would also get one but obviously not happening. I called on Monday to see if I can expedite the EAD , because my wife lost half her hours to go back to school for her phD ,I already have a job offer pending the EAD, guess what I got today, they actually need evidence that I got a job offer, and my wife lost hrs , " I do have the evidence " , like seriously? When ppl that even filed weeks after me already got approved !!!

Here is the good part, they mailed me something requesting the evidence and I can fax the evidence but only when I receive the letter, hahaha ridiculously fun. Anyways they hold the cards you got to play by their rules. So I will just wait now. One day while I am waiting my turn to cast my vote for the running president as an American citizen I will probably be laughing about this whole experience , I hope :)

Glad to see the progress that everyone is making!

I'm highly surprised that my interview is for July 16th, I was told to expect November when I went to an Infopass appointment given how busy the Dallas office was. However, certainly can't complain!

In other news, getting my first State driving licence (whoop!) and settling down into my new job (and our new house) nicely. Just about dying in the Texas heat!

I did call T2 today she is the one who told me the request for expediting the EAD was passed to an officer and he has requested evidence supporting the reasons you cited in your request. I have to wait for the letter and then fax back the supporting documents with the notice. MSC

I feel your pain. Just look at my timeline. There was another vj member who told me that he was stuck in 'testing and interview' for two months at my local office. I wish I was ZEN about this whole process but most certainly I am not. And it really makes me frustrated.

Going for social security card today.... wish I could get my driver's license now! Ugh!

I totally understand how he is feeling as i am staying in all day too.

our processes only a few days apart from each other. i really hope that i will hear for my EAD soon..

Status update: EAD mailed out as of 6/14...so just waiting on a tracking number now, if I get one . I'm still overjoyed though .

I'm still cheering for all us, regardless of where we are in line.....keep up the faith walk guys.

My husband and I just bought our first home. However, since I didn't have a SSN and essentially no credit here in US our lender told us that I wouldn't be able to be included on the mortgage loan. We thought no big deal... because I would put my name on the title of the house. However, our lender said it was easier to add me to the title at a later date because the title and mortgage loan names have to match at settlement. I plan on changing my last name down the road, just not yet... so again our lender said it was better to wait until I change my last name rather than put it in my maiden name and then have to change the title again to my married name.

So my question is... we obvioulsy don't have a lease... and my name is not on the mortgage... is mail addressed to both my husband and I at our address enough to prove we live together? We don't think of it as "my husbands house". For us, we both own, pay and are invested in this home. It's ours. What other evidence could we bring?

Is your name included on the utilities?

We're in the same boat. Dave isn't on the title of the mortgage either. I've read that there is a chance adding him could trigger a sale. Not sure how true that is though.

I was in a similar situation few years ago. I don't know what are the procedures in your state but here in CT both of our names are on the house deed even though my husband is the one who got the mortgage. So the mortgage bill in his name but I am still joint owner. Another words you have a part ownership of an asset but liability doesn't show on your credit report since you don't have the mortgage. I don't know if that makes sense.

So basically title and house deed are two separate documents. Check with your town hall what are the procedures. Talk to your broker and make sure that your name is on some kind of document. I think it can be done.
