I think that for all of us every other interview we'll have in the future will be a joke (like a job interviews for example). What is the worst that can happen? Hot hire you? It seems like USCIS interview is the ultimate interview of all. If you can go through this you can do anything. That's how I feel. Everything else looks less scary.

Hey!

Could you please tell me little bit about your interview. Our interview is in Raleigh in one week.

Sure. We had a morning interview. After getting our letter with a receipt from the front desk, you'll go to the second floor. Our number was called through the system and we were told to go to the room XX. But we actually waited at the door for the IO to take us in. He said good morning and led us to the room, where we were sworn in. He asked for my husband's driver's license only and he asked me to give him my passport, DL and EAD. He kept this all the side of his desk. He explained that he was going to ask question regarding each petition and what they meant. He started asking my husband to confirm the information he had on the I-130: his name, DOB, address, SSN, when were we married, etc. He was checking to see if everything was correct. He asked how we met, but not to anyone in particular, so we could complement each other. I told most of it and my husband complemented. While we were telling the story, he was writing some points down. He then proceeded to type some information, saying that he was going to approve the I-130 and asked me why I haven't filled for my AOS before and I explained that we were about to file, my husband lost his job and by the time we were in the position to file again, a year had passed and I decided to wait another year. He said he understood. Then I think he asked me to confirm my information: name, DOB, address, SSN (which first numbers I said wrong and my husband corrected me), if I had any children, etc. He asked for some evidence. I asked if wanted copies of originals, he said either one. I gave him copies of our 3 leasing agreements (the current and the former ones), my husband's taxes return with my name on (for 2012, 2011 and 2010), our cell phone bill which shows both of our phone number (we have a family plan). I told him we had pictures too but he told me to hold on to them. He barely looked at the documents I gave him IMO. He put all this evidence in my file and asked if March, 17th was the last time I entered the US, and I said it was the last and the first. He told me that was going to be his next question. He took my I-94 from my passport, kept it and gave me my EAD back. He then proceeded to ask me the 'NO' questions on the form. After this, he said he was going to approve me later and asked me to confirm my name spelling and my address, which I did. He finally said something about being approved but because he spoke a little bit too fast, I asked him, after he asked if we had any questions, if we were approved and he said YES. Then I asked when can I become a citizen (if I choose to) and he explained. He also said I would get the 10 year GC. We thanked him, wished him a good day and left. I think our interview lasted for about 15 minutes. We were in and out of the building in an hour. The IO was really calm, laid back but also professional. My experience was way better than I ever expected. I hope you have an easy time as well! Good luck!
