Just got off the phone with L2 cust serv, he let me know my biometrics and background check just came back all clear on the 4th of June. He said seems like I'm only waiting on an approval now. Thinks the I-485 will get approved before or the same time as the I-765 (without interruption). He thinks the earliest on the I-765 is around (July 16th), he must be crazy and meant latest because that is exactly 90 days. He confirmed a RFE on the I-485 will put the I-765 on hold. He sent a service request to Oakland Park (my field office) for an update and possible expedition on my I-765, and he mentioned that they are the ones that have my file now. He further said that I should hear from the field office in writing by the 22nd of June. Sooooo the wait continues.......:-(

When he gets his license, make sure he doesn't register to vote. It is only for citizens. The IO at the interview may register him with Selective Service if he is below the age of 26. Selective Service registartion is something he will need when applying for citizenship (only if he was present in the US before the age of 26).

Happy for you.[/quote

Thank u discover USA

The notice, mailed from Lee's Summit, MO, was dated June 06, 2013. It was postmarked June 07, 2013.

Since I didn't check mail yesterday, I don't know if it arrived then or today. The status online didn't change until yesterday so the e-notification came on the 10th.

Here's a question for those that have received their interview notice:

Did you also get an insert stating if you have ever been arrested or detained that you had to bring additional documentation? I didn't know if this was a general inclusion or not. It doesn't apply to Dave so I guess we can carry on, aye?

I got the interview date e-mail and mail at the same day :)

I had the arresting thing too! But I have never been arrested so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. I think it's just a general inclusion.

Also I already sent them lot of things what was on the Interview list. But I have all copies in the binder what I sent so if they gonna ask these things again I have them. Only thing I don't have is I-693 sealed envelope but the doctor gave me copy of something so I have that.

We got that too. I brought the arrest letter still attached to the interview letter when I went to the interview, and the security guard actually took the arrest letter and discarded it. From what it seems they go to everyone, as a blanket notice.

I think no matter what time you call it's going to be busy. However, they do have a system where you can opt to leave your call back number and keep your place in line. We used that because it was an hour wait and we didn't want to sit on hold the whole time.

When we called we checked our status through the phone and then hit the option to talk to someone. I'm not sure if that is tier 2 support or not? Maybe someone else can input on this?

We thought about getting an attorney but decided against it. It wasn't worth the $1500 that we were quoted...we don't feel we have a terribly difficult case. Is there a reason why you want a lawyer?
