Just checked my status online... everything is still under Initial Review.... My checking schedule may be a little overkill! whistling.gif

So does everyone get an email once thier biometrics has been accepted..??

I had the same question too , with USCIS seems like you can never tell. I never got such an email after completing the biometrics but I have seen one or two ppl here that received an email confirmation a day after the biometrics.

04/05/2013 (Day 1) - Package received by USCIS Chicago

04/11/2013 (Day 7) -Received all 3 NOAs via text and email

04/12/2013 (Day 8) - Checks cashed

04/22/2013 (Day 18) - Successful walk in Biometrics

I didn't get any email notification that my biometrics had been accepted. It's just that things started "moving" a few days after I had the appointment.

I had the same question too , with USCIS seems like you can never tell. I never got such an email after completing the biometrics but I have seen one or two ppl here that received an email confirmation a day after the biometrics.

Their system really seem to be very haphazard and inaccurate. Which is why I'm not stressing too much about online updates. As long as I know that my paperwork was received (which I know it was based on the hard copy NOA) I'm just going to let the rest of the process play out. No point fretting over a text message/email that never was sent out.

Now excuse me while I go check my status update on the USCIS website :) LOL!!

My USCIS Journey...

 

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

09/03/14 - Day 517 - Wrote a request to my Congressman asking for assistance

09/09/14 - Day 523 - Status updated to Card/Document Production

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card mailed to address on record/permanent resident status registered

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card picked up by USPS.

09/16/14 - Day 530 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL!!

:) :) I have actually deactivated my USCIS email notifications now, that's what was killing me, each time my phone buzzed I would check in anticipation of an email from USCIS only to find some email from "married but lonely" or some email from " you have won 2 million dollars",

Can you imagine a junk escapee mail coming in every 5 minutes :)

RFE hardcopy arrived today. They wanted two things:

1. The tax return for the most recent tax year for my joint sponsor. ( I submitted a copy of his last 3 or 4 pay stubs with the original package, foolishly).

2. The new computerized copy of my Jamaican birth certificate. ( I submitted, in the original package, the old birth registration form that was being used way back in the day, which is now apparently obsolete)

NB. They also added a second page with a paragraph tell me where the office is in Jamaica that I can get the new birth certificate and state that I can also go online to their website and request it

i actually just did mine today, it was an easy walk in, there were only 1 person ahead of me. the lady asked why am didnt i wait till next month and i told her about my doctors appointment on the same day and she asked me to walk in, very preofessional people, then met a gentle man who was very respectful and i was done just under 12minutes. am happy and am looking forward for my interview. only god knows how long the interview will take

does anyone have an idea how long it will take to receive my interview letter

Sorry I haven't been posting ... busy with life. Nothing new to report on the USCIS side. I guess we won't have anything to report until Dave does his biometrics on Monday.

I did receive my Passport card today and my credit union completed adding Dave to my account ... which is now OUR account. He is very happy to have a bank here in the States.

Hope everyone is well ... and regarding the RFE's ... the way I see it, it's actually a good thing. It means that your applications aren't sitting on shelf somewhere or under a pile being ignored.
