The wait is just horrible ,never in my mind did I ever thought one day I would be calling FBI :) , wanted to check the status of my FP , was told we can't give that information , and so I asked if he can tell at least whether they been returned to USCIS, and he said he can't tell me that either call USCIS!!!! So I guess I just got to wait and wait more

I can't add him to the bank account until he gets his SSN. Can't get the SSN without the EAD. Can't get the EAD without the bio being done. Aaaannnnd we've come full circle. HAHA

That's strange.... my husband added me to his accounts (he's the USC) and I do not have a SSN. I showed two forms of I.D (one being my passport). We now have joint checking and savings accounts at BOA....

I've even had Canadian friends who have gone to BOA and opened their own bank accounts because they are students in the states.... all was required was two pieces of ID..one being their Canadian passport.

On another note... biometrics done!! Yay! Ha ha this process really is a test of my patience!

Yeah Woods is right, you can get a bank account easy at Bank of America, like she said all they ask for is two forms of identification , passport and credit card, school id, etc

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

You just got a person who just could not be bothered. This wait game makes you do things you would not normally do, and yes, my confession of calling FBIinnocent.gif I know, I know...they are busy chasing criminals etc etc.....but I did and got a really nice lady who spent about 10 minutes looking for my info. Of course I started to panic and got really nervous...LOL...she tried to calm me down and said she would call me back...She did call back and said she still wasn't finding my info and said she would call me back again...and yes she did call me back and finally..YES!!!! she found it. Said something about the system and she confirmed it was sent to USCIS and all was well....So it just depends on your star...so try if you can't stand the pain. I'm sure they are used to us 'fingernail biting' callers by now.

May I suggest planting some herbs or veggies :) That's how I am diffusing my obsession over my case status. I check on my plants everyday (just like I used to check my case status), and water them and adjust their exposure to sunlight. At least I can see tangible proof of my plants'' progress, unlike the USCIS case status updates, which are not even reliable to begin with.

On another note... biometrics done!! Yay! Ha ha this process really is a test of my patience!

I was able to add Dave to all utilities except one. I've been a member at my credit union for almost 20 years. I'm not jumping ship just for the sake of appearances, especially to B of A. Dang it, I think I just incurred a surcharge for typing that. Anyhow, I can add him to my existing account with just his ITIN then I will update with his SSN when he gets it.

There's no amount of money that would make me join B of A (ooops another surcharge!) ... we've got the bank account sorted though.

Haha, the boldness of calling the FBI is brilliant! It had never even crossed my mind to do so - presuming FP here stands for finger print or..?

Anyway, as an update to my case. The day after I got the notification that my EAD had been sent to production, I subsequently received an RFE for my I-485. However, it was simply for a missing signature on the I-864 Affidavit of Support, and a lady from the NBC actually gave me a call to tell me specifically what it was for, and if I could fax it over to her she would immediately get my EAD card sorted.

Well needless to say, I did just that, and my EAD card is now being delivered... yay!

Looks like I'll be needing it, given the current wait time for interviews in Dallas is... oh so many, many, many months.

Day 35 - May 15th, 2013 - RFE processed for I-485

Day 38 - May 18th, 2013 - EAD card arrives in mail!

Day 41 - May 21st, 2013 - I-485 updated to "Testing and Interview"

Day 51 - May 31st, 2013 - Interview scheduled for July 16th, Dallas

Day 62 - June 11th, 2013 - Started work as a Systems Engineer (IT)!

Day 96 - July 16th, 2013 - Approved at interview in Dallas, Texas! (I-485)

Day 96 - July 16th, 2013 - I-485 updated to "Card/Document production", I-485 updated to "Approved, mailed welcome letter", I-130 updated to "Approved"
