Illinois MUST issue concealed carry permits, it's ban on concealed carry is unconstitutional! The legislature has until June 9 to decide on the details and meaniwhile they give reciprocity to other state's permits!

NOW we will see the crime decreased in Chicago.

Illinois was the LAST state not to allow concealed carry in any form. 8 states still maintain racist and unconstitutional "may issue" systems which have also been challenged using the Heller and McDonald decisions of the Supreme court. Another lawsuit targets "arbitrary" bans which ban certain firearms or features of firearms for no valid reason....HELLO!!!! Assault weapons bans! :rofl: It also will eliminate the unconstitutional law forbidding adults age 18-20 to purchase handguns because of age discrimination. Owning handguns is the only RIGHT denied to adults based on age discrimination.

Watch as the dominoes fall!

Congratulations to the people of Illinois! Congratulations to the NRA for never giving up until ALL states had concealed carry. In 1986 FIVE states had concealed carry. Now ALL have it. :dance: Crime rates have steadily decreased since the mid 80's

In the 2010 contest, the gun debate was mainly academic. The Chicago-dominated Legislature wasn’t about to budge. But on Dec. 11, a panel of the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, in Chicago, suddenly decided it. Judges ruled 2-1 in two combined cases that the state’s ban on concealed carry — the nation’s last — was unconstitutional. They gave the Legislature 180 days to pass regulations. After June 9, the decision has the force of law regardless.

The same question was asked 49 times before and each time crime was reduced. Why would Chicago be different?

I somehow doubt chicago is a "new" market for ammo. Wild guess.

My brother and two sons live near Chicago and they say it is mayhem trying to get signed up for concealed carry classes and any small "concealed carry" type handguns are flying off the shelves!

YAY OBAMA! World's Greatest Firearms Salesman and NRA promoter! :dance:

Imagine the litigation the NRA can support and file with a 30% increase in funding!

That's happening everywhere. You have to wait an hour to get a Glock here because you're in line, no matter where you go.

funny thing is crime has already been on the decline in Chicago. Must have been in anticipation of the court ruling.

It's probably the weather. Or something.

The crime rate in Chicago has been on the decline for awhile, though 2012 was high.
