Don't worry LB...you can still drink your cocoa. Coffee has 115-175 mg of caffeine while hot cocoa only has 14 mgs. Having one cup of coffee a day still won't hurt.

Hot cocoa for baby Hana and mama......

2ldvptx.jpg

:dance:I felt the baby kick really hard for the first time yesterday

We think that she will play soccer becaue we have no idea subhanallah how a fetus under one pound can kick so hard ! Last week I was feeling her kicks but they were really soft ... now she's getting aggressive  My favorite time of the day is in the evening laying on the couch or bed with Ali and our hands on my belly just feeling her. She likes putting on a show when she knows both of our hands are on there. She will will roll around, move, and kick. (L) I LOVE MY BABY (L)

Anyways thanksgiving is coming up ! I cannot wait cuz it will be Ali's first thanksgiving :) I have been craving turkey, pumpkin pie, stuffing, vegetables, yams .... mmmmmmmmm :P I cannot wait until next Thursday !!

 Oh and just to make you all jealous ... I have all of next week off cuz I'm a teacher

As far as the coffee goes ... I can't have coffee cuz I'm pregnant. So moody I want some hot chocolate please ;)

I've become unclear on what we are "allowed and not allowed" to post anymore, but I guess being human, I need to vent. If my venting annoys you, please just skip this post.

I spoke with DOS again today because of a very confusing email from the Embassy this morning. The woman spoke with was gentle and very kind to explain EVERYTHING to me step by step what they are doing. This was a first. She they are preparing to try to issue again. They tried the first time in August but he got a name hit so they did the prints and another round of security checks. She said it is possible for him to get another name hit this time, and if he does its another 3 months of security checks and on and on and on until I guess they exhaust all the freaking Mohammeds in the middle east.

I have been unglued today. I just cannot hold myself together. I have spent the entire morning in tears at my desk and I'm grateful to have an understanding boss.

Our relationship has been strained to its most fragile point, and I really fear what another name hit is going to do to US. So much so I can't get a grip at all. You just know he's going to get another hit. Its just been our luck to this point.

If y'all don't mind, I would appreciate it a whole lot not to get suggestions to "seek help" because if anyone knows her state at this time, its me. I just need to feel someone out there understands or can just offer some wee shred of hope that I can't seem to pull out of thin air today. All of this sh*t over a stupid name hit...

My heart goes out to you. This has got to be a huge strain in your life and your relationship. You are a very strong person for keeping faith. It would seem that the name checks would be checked all at once; not one at a time. Doesn't make any sense at all. But what does with this process? I would be in tears myself right now if I were in your shoes. Please don't take this the wrong way. I am not trying to minimize your situation at all. But I am a firm believer that whatever we focus on we get more of. Focusing on all the bad=we get more bad. Focusing on the good=we get more good. I know that it is easier said than done. I'm sure you're aware of that too. I will pray for you for more comfort and strength and for this to be over very soon. Hang in there girl!

I guess that will teach me to open my big mouth before I do some more research.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Good luck on this Jean--

While on the DOS subject, I also have some worries. If there is a name hit found in the database, do they inform you of the information surrounding it? What if there is some mistake or you need to clarify something? Is there a person to contact for that? We haven't started our process yet, but I would like to know who I can contact--and also--is it possible to inquire before the process has started?

I'm concerned about Morocco4ever and her husband. No news is not usually good news. Ironically, I had been following their saga and rooting for her and her husband for many months before I came here. I had been getting news about them from my own husband, who happens to be acquainted with M4E's husband, a fact she and I had only very recently discovered. Unfortunately, my husband moved to another city, and lost direct contact with hers, and with a mutual friend, who emigrated to the UK recently, so he cannot get in touch with him. Also, unfortunately, my husband tends to use M4E's husband's situation as a gage of how his experience will be since we have similar red flags. He's not a happy guy right now.

I'm sending a shout out to them both to send my very best wishes and hope that, no matter what, with Allah's help, they will stay strong.

I'm also concerned about VP and the personality switch. What is up with that?! I hope she's ok.

I've become unclear on what we are "allowed and not allowed" to post anymore, but I guess being human, I need to vent. If my venting annoys you, please just skip this post.

I'm sorry you are going thru this, Jean. Been there, done that with the strained relationship. This is a process designed to rip couples apart. All of my friends know better than to empathize with illegal aliens around me anymore. All you and your man can do at this point is to stand strong, realizing that to pull apart is to let them win. Hold on, honey. (F)(L)

And MBP, where's the chocolate??? :D

Silly me. How could I forget the chocolate...What breakfast is complete without Chocolate! :P

chocolatebox_outline.gif

That looks yummy, but I already had my swiss cake rolls and Dr. Pepper. I never could get used to the taste of coffee.

Please don't worry too much about M4E. My friend Fatimah knew how her interview went, but didn't want to tell anyone much until he had the visa in hand. When you go through what these ladies have been through sometimes you're afraid things will go all wrong again. Maybe she's just holding her breath and will tell us all about it once he's got his visa in his hand and they know it's actually going to happen. Fatimah and I spent most of the day e-mailing each other (we work at the same company) for the days between the interview and the visa issue. It was really hard for me to not come let everyone know how it was going, but I understood her position. All we can do is send her all of our good karma and mojo and prayers that the visa will be in his passport soon and she can bring him home with her.

Jean, Hang in there sweetie. I know things must be very hard right now, but you've come too far in this process to give up now. What is 3 more months compared to all you've been through? I know it seems like forever, but maybe you'll get lucky and he will have his visa soon after all. No point in worrying now - you'll have plenty of time for that if he does get another name hit. When will you be able to go see him again? Maybe a good visit would help.

Hey Everyone, I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! Finally got a compter again! Back to the land of the living, I think  It sure does feel good to be connected again. Not much going on here, my grandma gets into town today and will be here until after New Year's Day. So it will be a month and half of playing cards with an 80 year old woman for 2-3 hours a day (and she HAS to win or gets mad), FUN STUFF!

Jean - Regarding another name hit, I know it seems damn near impossible not worry about it but take it one day at a time and try not to worry about it now because it has not happened yet. The question "what if" has so many possible answers and I don't know why the DOS started that with you. Best advice, Don't worry until there is something to worry about. (F) By the way what was the email you got from the embassy?

Where my coffee and chocolate MBP? :sleepy:
