Who thought of putting cherries inside chocolates? Maybe it's just me but I find that so gross. :P Fruit was meant to be enjoyed by itself right??? Well, except for homemade apple pies. :D

A nice chocolate truffle though or some Belgian chocolates.... *sigh*

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

Enjoying freshly ground and brewed coffee this morning . . . Ethiopian Sidamo (OK, I buy my beans from Starbucks, so don't shoot me!!). I had a 5 grain hot cereal with raisins and cinnamon . . . lots of nice fiber and hot for a cold winter morning (heheh, cold for Texas that is).

I am thinking of buying a new coffee maker only because I think the one that I've have is so old that I've decided maybe I should look at one with water filtration, hehe . . . back to the water pipe conversation now.

Have to do some documentation today and conduct a turnover meeting in 3 hours. . . then I get to talk to my manager about what to do next for work. I am hoping that they aren't going to ask me to start going to Pennsylvania again in the winter . . . hehe, but I have heard a rumour that someone in that area where we have a huge contract is asking about HR technical ppl. That might be me considering that is what I just dipped my tootsies into for this latest program.

PS. I love chocolate covered CHERRIES . . . and the ones from Europe (Belgium???) are even better because they have Cherry liqueur in them . . . buy them at the duty free on the way back from Egypt, hehe!!

I am more of a lurker than a poster but I feel the need to vent this morning.

As of this momenet, I've missed all my classes because I woke up feeling some kind a horrible. My stomach will not settle down. I attempt to make tea and toast, only to find my toaster smoking. Currently my kitchen is filled with smoke.

Now I need to get dressed and head off to the dentist :help: .

I hope everyone elses day is going better. I think it is funny how the little things in life get me way down instead of the big ones.

Welceme browneyez40!

Sweet husband and I are going on a coffee date tonight  Buy one, get one free coupon from Caribou baby!

Also, I got 4 lbs of lamb gyro meat from the ME grocery store here. I cut it into 8 seperate slivers, froze them, and now wa'la. We can have cheaper gyros anytime we want. Take out the hunka meat, slice it up, fry it with some onions, add some cucumber sauce and tomatos, and mmmmm. My dad was a gyro fan, and whenever we went to a greek restaurant, I have spanokopeta and not gyros. But, since going to egypt, I (L) them. Dinner was so nummy last night.

I feel a song coming on...

Food, glorious food!

What wouldn't we give for

That extra bit more --

That's all that we live for

Why should we be fated to

Do nothing but brood

On food,

Magical food,

Wonderful food,

Marvellous food,

Fabulous food,

Beautiful food,

Glorious food

Good morning everyone! My mouths feels wonderful this morning after a nice cleaning at the dental office last night. Work up this morning and asked my hubby to take me to work. so reset the alarm and went beck to sleep. When I woke up again, I remembered that I have the placement test tonight to go back to college. I don't have to do the english portion, just the math. (BTW: someone gave a link to help me remember last time, but I am having a problem locating it again, so if you left it, can you leave it again) So realizing I might need my calculator I woke up searching for it. Then I remembered where I had left it! So I asked my hubby to stop by my dad's house on the way to my work so I could pick it up. It was right where I had left it. So now I have my calculator. ***I just called and found out I can't even have my calculator! :( ***

Well I am excited for all that is ahead of me these next few months. Well I guess I gotta go. I need to figure out if I can get my schedule for my second job now, instead of tomorrow. Have a good day everyone!

I was hoping my fiance would be here for Thanksgiving and it doesn't look like he will be here in time. I think I made some headway with our case though. After calling the DOS and Casa, it appears that our file was just sitting on someone's desk for the past week. Casa said that they are now sending it to D.C. and he will be called for his visa in the middle or toward the end of next week. I'm guessing they are closed for Thanksgiving, no? I'll have to check their website.

P.S. No coffee for me! (it's against my religion!)

Actually I think most hot chocolate has almost as much caffeine in it as coffee does. Is there some other reason not to drink coffee besides the caffeine?

**besides the taste that is. I can't stand the taste of coffee :P

I've become unclear on what we are "allowed and not allowed" to post anymore, but I guess being human, I need to vent. If my venting annoys you, please just skip this post.

I spoke with DOS again today because of a very confusing email from the Embassy this morning. The woman spoke with was gentle and very kind to explain EVERYTHING to me step by step what they are doing. This was a first. She they are preparing to try to issue again. They tried the first time in August but he got a name hit so they did the prints and another round of security checks. She said it is possible for him to get another name hit this time, and if he does its another 3 months of security checks and on and on and on until I guess they exhaust all the freaking Mohammeds in the middle east.

I have been unglued today. I just cannot hold myself together. I have spent the entire morning in tears at my desk and I'm grateful to have an understanding boss.

Our relationship has been strained to its most fragile point, and I really fear what another name hit is going to do to US. So much so I can't get a grip at all. You just know he's going to get another hit. Its just been our luck to this point.

If y'all don't mind, I would appreciate it a whole lot not to get suggestions to "seek help" because if anyone knows her state at this time, its me. I just need to feel someone out there understands or can just offer some wee shred of hope that I can't seem to pull out of thin air today. All of this sh*t over a stupid name hit...

Jean....does Moh have a very common last name or does he use his grandfather or father's name as a last name? Is that why he's getting all these name hits?

Hang in there, Jean. I'm praying for you.

We listed all 4 of his names hoping to avoid this. Guess it doesn't matter. I'm terrified of what's going to happen in the next few weeks. This is just insane. I've never felt so out of control of my own life and its outcome. Sorry I don't mean to be the thread's wet blanket.

We all need to vent now and then, you shouldn't worry about how we feel. You have every right to say what you feel and I'm sure so many here know your pain and frustration.

I'm hoping everything comes through quickly for the both you.
