After two days of interview, my fiance was denied travel visa. I am just numb. I have yet to see any paperwork, but wish to do what I can to reverse this decision before it becomes too fixed in stone.

What discretion do they have at interview stage to deny visa when all paperwork has been presented on K1? What course is advisable from adverse interview decision?

Bluesurft,

I am deeply sorry and trouble by this news. However, before we jump to conclusion, can you confirm if it was in fact a "DENIED" or "DELAYED" for further "AP" (Administrative Process) "AR" (Additional Review).... If they denied your fiance's Visa application, they will give specific reason(s) why and only then you can take corrective action to resolve the issue.

Ask your fiance to scan the "denial" slip and email to you... Be calm...

I think that in most cases it will be returned to the NVC to further reviewing, and you can request it to be looked over again, and it can be re-approved and your fiancee can have another interview.

But you should wait for better experienced members of VJ to explain all that to you.

Very confused here. Few questions first.

1. Was she trying for a tourist visa?

2. Was this interview for the K-1 visa?

3. You said two days of interviews?

I'm getting the feeling that you she was trying for a tourist visa during your K-1 process. If this is the case it was a waste of your time for the most part. Most tourist visas from slavic countries are denied for the simple fact that USCIS personnel are trained to deny deny deny then ask questions.

If I'm wrong and this is for her K-1 visa then I'm sad for you but you will (from what I have read) get a reason for denial. I would start calling USCIS. Good luck to you.

16/10/2006- Interview date- I'm nervous and my fiance is cool calm and collective. And she's the one that has to do the interview.

I agree with travlnmann, since you have not updated your timeline we lack some pertinent information. I am very interested as my financee will be going through Kiev as well.

I am so sorry ......

Was her interview in Warsaw, Poland ???

I have never heard of anyone being denied there :(:(:(

Kiev has been doing K-1's for several years now.....

yeah he'll have to clarify it more, because it ses a different visa, but i guess we can assume it was a K-1. and 2 days of interviewing???

As well as inconsistent terminology that makes it difficult for us to figure it out.....

thats the question in form here? was your fiance trying to come on a k-1 or a travel?

OR

was your fiance trying to come on a travel while waiting for the k-1 visa??

if your fiance was trying to get approved for a travel visa while waiting for a k-1 visa, your fiance would be denied, as far as i know you can only apply for one visa at a time. if yur fiance already had the travel visa that would be different,. but can not apply for both at the same time.

maybe we are all confused, could you please verify what you are fully asking :)

I am sorry to hear of your denial. Did they give her any paperwork stating the grounds of the denial? I.E. 221g?

I hope this is just a mis-understanding and maybe a document is missing or something easy to correct and the visa will be issued then. Good luck
