A known fact that an altercation happened? Well, one person is dead and the other got knocked around. So I'd say it's known that an altercation happened.

A known fact that it wouldn't have happened if GZ hadn't followed him? The 911 call indicates that to be true. He thought he was suspicious, so he followed him and eventually an altercation happened.

Not really "facts", but reasonable conclusions. Facts are things can be proven, like GZ did call 911 and the operator did suggest GZ not follow TM. One fact is undeniably true: TM is dead, and GZ admitted to killing him.

a group of kids in georgia want to have a prom that everyone of every race can attend. being this is VJ and most of us are in interracial marriages, i would think this would piss you off to no end. my, your, or a friend of yours children would not be allowed to attend their school prom, because they're not white.

If it was a sponsored school prom I would be pissed. If it's a private prom set up and planned and paid for by private individuals then I guess they have the right to decide who can attend.

These kids are planning a party and they also have the right to include / exclude anybody they want to. Best thing for all would be for the school to host the prom and then it would be like every other school who hosts a prom - the only kids who get kicked out are the kids, black or white, not following the school rules for the prom

Then stop treating people like they are a lower class of citizen than you are. I'm not talking to you, I'm talking about the folks that swear it's all on black and brown people to succeed in life, but are the first ones to close the door in their faces when we start coming into their spaces. AA was created not to give anyone race an advantage, but to level the playing field. It also helped with women as well, but folks seem to only focus on blacks and hispanics. If you see a woman doctor, do you think she earned that job, or did she receive special treatment?

Didya think maybe its what is brought with you and not you at all? But anyway: The playing field has been leveled. What has been done with all of this self-directed freedom?

who cares if its a private or public prom or whos paying for it. its the high school's prom. the entire high school's prom. its BS to exclude anyone based on skin color. you should still be upset about it, your wife and high school aged children (if you have any) would not be welcome.

it doesn't matter as much today as it did yesterday. why? because enough people were upset about it & donated the funds for the entire school to attend a prom. the entire school is welcome to attend, even us white people. that is a great thing. people around the world cared enough to make it happen for all the kids wanting to go to the prom.

i hope a fund drive happens every year until the school changes this ridiculous policy of private funding for purpose of exclusion.

eta: i'm pretty damn proud to be on the donor list.

Even in this thread which has nothing to do with blacks wanting a separate prom, but an integrated one where everyone can attend. But you always have a negative comment to chime in, even when it has nothing to do with what's being discussed. So why are you talking to me like I am acting like that?
