In Georgia, Iced tea is simply referred to as tea. What we call tea, they call Hot tea.

I remember on a trip to Pittsburgh the waiter looked at me so weird when I asked for sweet tea.

They are really missing out on something! Same goes for England, except I never found any iced tea whatsoever....

I had never tried hot tea with cream and sweetner til I went to Nova Scotia and met Joel's family - I'm hooked on it now. Yes, "tea" in the South is sweet iced tea, and we just call it Tea. Nothing like "tea" :)

WOW! I was introduced to that first before i ever even heard of iced tea

Now, the girls at work think I'm all fancy now, drinking my hot tea and cream. Iced tea is still a staple, even in the dead of winter here :)

I enjoy both kinds of tea, but tend to only drink the hot when I'm with the hubby's family in Ireland

On another note- the original subject of this thread, I have goofed around enough today to earn myself another blue square :star: (and am now heading off to get some actual work done!)
