We use Remitly. Three day bank to bank is free, with instant transfers cheaper than WU or Xoom. Exchange rate better than WU or Xoom.

Remitly is still limited in where they operate in the US, in (I think) 23 states.

In interest of full disclosure, Remitly did use my wife and I and our story in an advertising campaign for which we received a $20 credit. But we were users of their service long before that. (See http://pinoy.remitly.com/wyatt-ely-nv/)

I think it was mid August that the fees went back to $2.99 for online transfers. I've been having trouble with them getting cancelled with no explanation, so will be looking at services others have recommended. It was good while it lasted.
