The operative phrase here is "your parents want a tourist visa". It is not you applying for the visa, it is your parents. You cannot do anything to help your parents obtain a tourist visa other than assist them with their filling of the papers.

You can check the embassy website for the country where your parents reside but they must fill the papers, appear at the interview, and the parents must show strong ties to their home country. The embassy assumes anyone applying for a tourist visa has an immigrant intent and it is up to the applicant to prove they will leave the US prior to their visa ending.

Tourist visas may be single use or multiple entry. The longest a tourist visa is good for on a single visit is six months. The actual length of the authorized stay is determined when the tourist enters the country and the I-94 is dated with a leave by date or valid until date. The parent can apply, while in the US, for an extension of the tourist visa, but these are not often given without good reason. Really, who "visits" the US for more than six months at one time?

If your parents want to come as tourists, they need a visa, unless they are holders of VWP passports.

As tourists they will most likely be allowed to stay for six months, during which you can submit a request - I-539 - to extend their stay for a maximum of another six months after which they will have to return home.

Want to bring my parent for Tourist visa! need help!

What difficulties do you have, currently ?

This bit about them adjusting status whilst in the USA should be troublesome for you , actually.

Have you thought about chasing your USCitizenship status, then chasing after an IR-5 visa for them, instead?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

like what the others have said, your parents need to apply on their own and will be decided upon the info/documents they provide on the application form. the x # of years and x # of entries on the visa will depend upon the consul if and when they are approved.
